What about the parking brake. Mine all the way up, doesn’t hold anymore. Can that be adjusted?

I actually ruined a set of brake shoes & a wheel cylinder trying to get that damn hub back on and you just skipped forward with editing. Lovely. Bout to try again with a new set.

They skip in every video because they had to fight with it for an entire day.

What kind of sorcery did you use to get the drum back on??? I'm stuck at that part

😂😂 yes they can be a pain for sure so on the back make sure you loosen up the e brake tensioner. On the front it takes almost perfect alignment and clean the hub with brake cleaner and give it a slight tap with a mallet (rubber of course) and it should slide right on.

@@integrator_101 yeah, it seemed the splines on the axle were gunked up with old grease. Even after it was all cleaned and I lined it up I still had to use the castle nut and washer to help drive it on lol.

Being my first drum brake job, I didn’t know to release the tension. Got so mad, ended up destroying the hub. Considered it part is my education. Gee

Where is the brake tensioner? I cannot get the shoes compressed enough or aligned properly to get the hub on!!!! 5:01

Before I was able to remove the drum the wheel (drivers side front) was completely locked up. Now that I have it freed up when I reinstall the drum it spins freely for part of the rotation and wants to bind up for the last 1/4 turn. Any ideas what I can look at to correct this issue?

Check the drum itself mine got to hit and warped my drum so I had to replace it. I also had another one on the other side the spring wasn’t pulling hard enough so the pads were off a little.

My brake drum goes in perfectly but when I install the tire and then spin it, it takes a lot to spin, but when I go to the passenger side that tire spins freely

Did you figure out this issue? I'm experiencing the same problem. All tires spin easily however the one I replaced requires a lot of torque.

They are tough for sure. Have to verified the spring is good and hold tention on it. Also I used a little scotchbrite to clean out the hub which helped.

@@integrator_101 I certainly wouldn't call you a con... that was uncalled for. But like others, reinstalling the hub was the part that I got stuck on. You completely edited out that part. I wish I could have seen how you got it back on. I've sanded out my hub and compressed everything as much as possible... still doesn't want to go on. I don't want to beat it with a sledgehammer
