I took this train in the front seat on two occasions. Its so fun and a beautiful ride ! I think the GSE has a slightly wider view that the EXE but both are great views anyway. I had to go to Shinjuku station to buy the front seat tickets at opening time a month before, because they always sell out in a split second online : )
@AegisEdge Жыл бұрын
The exe nor the exe a has a front observatory view so obviously the gse and vse have much much bigger views.

面白かったです。I travelled on the Romance Car in 2002 from Shinjuku to Odawara. Those trains are now in Nagano. Interesting that the English announcement didn't ask people to put their phone in silent mode. Good video! You might want to try a variable neutral density filter to adjust the shutter speed.

Great! What's a beautiful music in this video, which starts in 12:21?
Mixed gauge track at the beginning; 1067 & 1435 mm I suppose, as far as that depot. Some of the signals are a long way from the tracks, look at the one at 1:04:35. And 1:07:35 is virtually over the other side of the fence.
Fantastic footage thumbs up 👍👏 Greetings from Toronto Canada ✌

I have watched many railvideos from Japan,and there is one thing that i can,t understand.Why isn,t the rail welded together??
@joshuahawkes72183 жыл бұрын
in places with alot of temperature variation the tracks need space to expand and contract otherwise they will snap or buckle.
@zaitcev03 жыл бұрын
They are welded on most of this line. In fact, instead of a sequence of conventional joints between welded sections, this line uses slip joints. You can see one of them at 33:07.
@KyrilPG3 жыл бұрын
And Japan is a seismic area, they'd rather use joints than completely welded sections.

If there is a single thing in the world I want, it's for trains to squeal during platform approach as little as this did. 10km/h in NYC and you're hearing the voice of the worst steel-on-steel demon you can imagine.
@AndreiTupolev3 жыл бұрын
That seems to be zero margin for error there at 1:31:00, there's absolutely zero overlap between the signal at the entrance to the platform and the train in front. I notice the driver was taking it carefully and stopping well short.

also great bgm there... i wonder what is the title...
Announcements on trains in Japan always seem to go on for about five minutes. I wonder what they say.

There are 2 minutes of introduction politeness formulas, 30 seconds of information and 2 minutes of outro politeness formulas. I'm kidding but the politeness parts take a big chunk of every sentence.
I like watching the shinkansen go yeeting by on the bridge above at around 15:00

Why is the signal on the other track at the right at 1:00:50 showing green while there is a train coming from the opposite direction? Shouldn't it be closed?
@arcitytransspottermy8973 жыл бұрын
that signal is meant for this train... they put on the opposite side bcoz it's for clearer visibility since all trains runs on left side on double tracks and no trains on the opposite side plus with many curves around it...
