I discovered that it's also possible for the pin to fall out of the groove in the big end of the cable connector, so that when you reinstall it, the inside door lever doesn't engage. If you look quickly in this video, you can see how the cross pin in the end of the cable needs to fit into the two slots in the big white plastic connector.

My 328i driver side won't unlock with key fob or unlock button in center console. Door handle works from inside tho..what do I need to change to make it unlock.

how to open my door if the latch rod is stuck in the door frame and the piece you have in this video is broke. I push the autuater down and push the door but it didnt work and my outside handle hasnt worked in a long time. How do i open my door to get latch rod out

@@some1namedfriedchickenlemo593 lock actuator is broken on lock position, there is no way to open it up easily, my car mechanic end up dismantle the whole door to replace the lock.

Having the same problem. I used to be able to unlock the driver door manually with the key. Now it won't open at all. I am completely locked out of my car.

If i could give u 100 likes,trust me i just do it.i replace my door handle because it was sticky and i install that cord wrongly and i didn't know how to put it back.thanks to u i fix it myself.im a woman 🤣🤣🤣
