FRONT LOAD WASHER REPAIR - NOISY SPIN CYCLE - LEAKING WASHER - Maytag Whirlpool

If your washer is very noisy or leaking from shaft, this video will show you how to replace bearings and seals on front load washers, Washer shown here is Maytag 2000 series but it is pretty much same with all front load washers.
Whirlpool owns Maytag and is very similar to Maytag. My washer was giving extreme noise when it was going to extract and also tearing clothes. This repair fixed both problems. If your washer is leaking from shaft from back then you need to follow same instructions as shown in video. You can buy only bearings and seals, you do not need to buy the whole rear tub assembly. The repair shown in video is also useful if you are replacing basket, front door seal, computer board, pump or water level transducer.

great video, question. Did you buy the whole back piece with bearings already pressed into it or did you just get new bearings and press them in yourself? Where did you buy from?

Thanks for watching, You can buy the bearing and seals from local bearing store and save a lot of $$, no need to buy complete assembly. These bearings are just regular ball bearings with shield on one side. I don't remember what the bearing #'s were but when you take out your washer bearings, you should be able to see them on the old bearing outer race. Those might be 6206 Z but not sure. If you can't see the bearing numbers on old bearing then just measure outside, inside diameter and width of bearings and check in SKF bearing catalog for the number matching the dimensions. Thank you for this video. I have the same washer and I need to have it repaired. One question for you seeing that my washer isnt under warranty, is it possible to replace just the bearings? Would it make the job more difficult to just replace the bearings? Would it increase the chances of it leaking? It is $100 difference in price to not buy the rear tub so any advice would be appreciated. Are you a washing machine repair man and if not you made the job look much easier than I heard it is. Thank you very much for the gr8 comment and I am sorry for replying back so late. You can replace just the bearings and seal and do not need to replace the rear tub assembly if you haven't fix the washer yet.
