I thought I was watching an Australian video. Bull bar is a deadset give away. Don't see too many bars like that over there. Not too many ROOS to hit. Excellent setup mate. Kangaroo on the Barbie and esky full of piss, your all set. Plenty of roof top tents in Australia, just got to watch for drop bears. Bastards will tear you a new one if they get hold of you and don't get me started on the crocs

+Ariel Dela Fuente They are similar . Roof top tent have annex room which give you privacy but front runner is much lighter.

Do you do much out of your tailgate? Cooking for example? If so, is it crowded with the ladder coming down there? I like the idea of the rear tent coming off the back of the truck, particularly with the annex covering and protecting that area. But I worry about the ladder getting in the way.

+Brian Marker thanks. follow the info from the store is up to 500 lb. I tested for4 weeks in the Wild West - 2 adults in 1 tent and there was no problem.

Do you have a preference between the two? I am looking at both of them. I love the annex of the Tuff, but I also Like how open the front runner can be... I am planning on installing a ladder rack onto a 4x6 trailer I have for the time being. I may get a new car in the future and dont want to invest money into new cross bars to support the tent since my cross bars only support 110lbs. but that could always change :)

+X5 Overland That was my idea and I made it. You can get strip led 3 meters from ebay plus wire and switch.it is great for the night . it is permanently glued to the owning truck.

After 5 years... Have you noticed any cracking with your bed cover? I have a similar shell and the static weight limit for the shell alone is 350 lbs. Did you do anything to reinforce the inside to support additional weight?

Nice setup. I have the truck wanting to do the same but not sure if I will damage my canopy. Is that just an ordinary fibre glass shell? How did that hold up in terms of the weight on it. My canopy THEY SAY is only able to have 200 pounds on top of it static.

I think any tent will get moldy if put away wet. If it doesn't then I worry about health affects of the coating. I'm very attracted to these tents but I don't have a garage to open up the tent and dry after a wet camping trip. ????

Looks like an ARE Z-Series cap. What rail/rack system did you put on the ARE cap and on the cab of the Tacoma?

On that ARE cap was originally 2 tracks which is good for Yakima rack. This is what I use Yakima rack.

Hi, the name of the tent FRONT RUNNER and TUFF STUFF. The first tent is FRONT RUNNER FEATHER -LITE is a little bit lighter and smaller than the 2 one.The second tent TUFF STUFF is bigger and comes with the annex... I call that private room:)any roof rack on any SUV is good for that tent. I bought it on line. The weight of the tent is 90 lb and 125lb .

+2012trdoffroad Quality is great . It is good for any roof racks. When you open the tent you need to be carefull because sometimes that aluminium pole slides out.

The weight of the first tent is about 95 lb and the second is 125 lb which is ok for the roof capacity when you are driving. during the sleeping time tent plus 2 people = 500 lb which is static weight. We travel with 4 people and we did not had any problem with car roof . I was on the offroad trip in the Colorado mountain up to 14, 000 ft.but another stuff like food , water , recovery stuff and more is heavy ...and that is why I installed air bag.check my another video kzfaq.info/get/bejne/b7yCgqp1qdGsqnk.html
