Beginners should definitely use a torque wrench.

I leave the nuts on the ends of the strut bolts and pound on them. You can mushroom those strut bolts too much.

save yourself an alignment, don't bother with the strut bolts, you shouldn't have to loosen or remove them. I have done many without breaking them loose.

Should not use grease on the end of the cv shaft, anti-sieze should be used. Grease will make it much harder to separate after long periods of time and remember, it's probably going to get hot and cold, from the brakes and bearing. Rich.

How do I know about the torques and how do you read them. That part kinda scares me when it’s mentioned. Video was great tho Ty

Usually any foot pound torque wrench is accurate enough for suspension work. I just use the click style , set it and stop when it clicks. I also use medium loctite. It is pretty simple , nothing to fear. Thanks for the feedback.

Video is good except for use of permanent Loctite, blue or medium would be okay but never the red where removal in the future may be necessary. also you may be able to complete without taking two bolts from strut out by pushing in on axle a little to get abs wiring and 3 bolts on back off and back on.

That's what i was thinking! expresses importance of anti-seize on axle parts but uses red loctite on bolts. Hope to sell the car before removing those bolts again! LOL

I just did mine without removing the two bolts from the strut for anyone wondering. I just used an extension on my socket wrench.

Is there a way to take off the studs and replace them?

It will take some removal to get access , but yes they can be knocked out and replaced. Usually part stores will have these wheel studs in stock. Hope this helps.
