No packing for me. I purchased men's cargo capri shorts has 5 pockets (zipper and velcro). Plus a runners waist bag (2 pockets). Everything I need in 7 total pockets. Nothing in my hand whenever I travel or walk.

In the haunting (and shamefully underappreciated) seminal 1986 film Henry: Portrait of a Serial Killer, Michael Rooker (making perhaps one of the most unique screen debuts of all time) stars as Henry, a serial killer based on real-life serial killer Henry Lee Lucas. Just as in real life, Henry falls in with an associate, Otis Toole (portrayed by Tom Towles in, again, one of the most disturbing portrayals of all time, and made all the more so by the understatement of his delivery). Henry is a serial killer but he does have his scruples. He commits several murders of strangers with Otis as his companion, but when Otis begins taking indecent liberties with their victims, Henry quashes this, thus demonstrating for the audience that while Otis is evil to his core, he is not insane. Brooding Henry, however, is a true psychopath, so icily vacant on the inside that even Otis must pay him respect and fear. Of course, this does not stop Otis' depredations, and when his unfortunate younger sister Becky comes to stay with the pair to escacpe her abusive home life, she ultimately finds no solace. Evincing a severely improper interest in her even while Henry is around, at the first opportunity of Henry's absence, Otis assaults Becky in a manner which, like the rest of the film, is understated in its graphic portrayal while imparting to the viewer the true horror that only such understated portrayals can provide. Alas for Otis, Henry arrives in the middle of the crime and dispatches Otis after a short but brutish struggle. Henry then allows Becky to accompany him on the road as they flee the city. Alas for Becky in her turn, however, Henry remains a true psychopath, a "person" with no soul. As dawn breaks over the shabby roadside hotel where the pair were staying, we see Henry depart -- alone. One short jump later, we see Henry pull his early-model Oldsmobile to the side of the road and remove a large suitcase from the trunk, abandoning it by the roadside. Henry departs as the camera slowly advances on the woebegone suitcase, and a small seepage of blood at the seams becomes apparent. Thus are we devastated to learn Becky's final fate. Viewing your excellent video on how to appropriately pack one's luggage, I was moved to wonder whether vacuum-bagging and the other techniques which you describe would have allowed Henry, in his final black act, to have complied with Frontier Airlines' regulations regarding the size requirements for carry on luggage. A question for the ages, indeed.
