Taka's english is great! You can see how much he's improved not just in English and his vocal skills but also how much he's grown as a person. I'm glad he has all the support around him to make him feel more confident in himself because he really is capable, he's amazing. And the fact that this is just the starting line makes me so excited. More of One Ok Rock to look forward to in the future as well as newer things to hear from them. I love this band for how they challenge themselves all while incorporating beautiful and positive lyrics into each and every song. They deserve to be playing stadiums in the US so I truly hope they get enough exposure to do that. I got to see them live in NYC this time and it was the best thing ever. You're a great interviewer Rob, thank you so much for being patient and asking amazing questions to Taka. My favorite song from this album would have to be Vandalize, and the runner up is Prove.

Now I know why Neon Lights had some P!ATD vibes 🤣 loved it on the album, loved it even more live. The vowel sound for the “neon lights” at the end of the chorus is so addictive!

Yo Taka, i find it interesting that you say you lack a bit of confidence when you were recording , especially for "Your tears are mine." I just wanna point out that i agree with you that many singers may become insecure with their work, no matter how praised they are. Beyoncé, another of my biggest inspirations, has even admitted to being insecure when she starts a new project. I found that really shocking because I thought she was always confident, but that's proof that , not only is she human like the rest of us, but to keep pushing through your insecurities, it really makes you an inspiration.

i honestly did't look up who is the composer for the songs, so everytime i listen to Neon, i was like 'Taka can beat brendon urie and sing into the unknown, his vocal kind of like brendon'. So, turns out it really is apart of his piece. i forgot brendon is under fueled by ramen

Taka said my English is bad but I don’t think so at all and he must be tiered to have an interview in his brake time while the concerts. I can just tell how kind and patient the interviewer is!! I’ve watched their conversations a few times before and he’s always nice 🎤

Been watching your interviews with Taka from the very first one 🙌 I know how frustrating it is for Taka to not be able to explain something well due to language barrier. I've seen many of OOR's interviews in Japanese and there's sooo many deep explanations from them to help us understand more about their music and the journey behind it. A really great interview, i like the way you ask Taka such great questions. When i first start listening to One OK Rock was 8 years ago. Since this time until know his vocal sound and english prononciation improved so fast over this time. But not only Taka the other band members improved too with playing their instruments. It' s crazy how he can control his voice now and he's still not satisfied with himself, shows how great he is as an artist. And cool that he wants to learn more english, that he can talk about some topics more in the depth. Iam looking forward for more interviews with Taka :) Thanks youtube algorithm.

I totally hear that Queen Flavor with the guitar especially, and the bridge part is so blues-y... that song is my ABSOLUTE FAVORITE in the album! Amazing interview as always! And great questions! Was really happy to get a little more detail on this album and the process, and just everyone that was involved! I was a bit surprised to hear Taka say that he’s not confident sometimes when recording. He sounds amazinggggg! He IS amazing! Even more live! But then again it just proves that we are all human and just like us, who have our moments of insecurity or lack of confidence, they do too. Just hope they never forget how phenomenal they are, as musicians, artists, as superstars, and as individuals and humans as well. Their personalities and way of thinking is just… the best. And really happy that with this album they brought back that rock feel as well. Regardless of the genre, whether it’s a bit more pop or not, one thing is sure, ONE OK ROCK has proven to be be quite versatile and sound amazing still. It always great to challenge yourself and see what you are capable of. You find yourself that way and find what you like or what you do not like. So I personally don’t see them experiencing or trying out a bit of a different sound as a bad thing. Their energy, the messages, the lyrics, personalities, charisma, the music… everything that I fell in love with… is still ONE OK ROCK! And their Luxury Disease Tour here in North America was UNREAL! All four of them were just phenomenal! And Taka’s MC was very touching and motivating! His words are so strong and his presence as well. Despite how tired they must have been they had the best energy. Really want to thank them for their hard work. I think there’s nothing that could top a OOR show… well only one thing, another one ok rock show! So really hoping they come back soon! And can’t wait to hear the rest of the songs live… especially Your Tears Are Mine which is a stunning, touching song that really just hit me like a train. Very comforting… Wow. I’m still processing that experience and this album. But so happy with this interview and glad to hear a bit more from Taka. Thank you for this as well. The best interviewer! I find that pronunciation while singing comes out cleaner in a way. Like, I have been told that I have an accent but when I sing, it’s hardly noticeable-probably because I do my best to sing like the singer to match the pitch.

ah Taka, I feel your struggle with vocabulary :) it's the worst thing when you are already semi-fluent in a language and you want to express yourself but the words are just not there yet. But it's a good thing you are not afraid to ask back if you don't understand something, that's a great way to actually learn new words. You'll get there eventually.
