Mcdoubles back again with a brand new video today featuring the coveted FROST HYBRID - a build that takes a lot of skill cards and perfect rolls to get right, and I'd say we got it right.
In this video we level a character primed with extremely good golden and regular skill cards for a Frost Hybrid archetype. However, it comes with a catch, because a true Frost Hybrid would have the Frostbrand Weapon and possibly even the Lava Lash carded from the start.
In order to circumvent not having them, we concoct a plan to help us narrow down our rolls and come out of it with an extremely good build.

I feel like Mcdoubles enjoys levelling and rerolling new builds more than anything. I've rarely seen him have the patience to grind a max level char.

My very 1st time playing and I had an absolute blast aside from some server lag. I was lost, confused, and everything that I did made me feel excited. Hit lvl 26 after a bit and I saw this guy riding a horse so I asked how much it was to get riding. He answered my question and we went our merry way.... until, after 3 seconds of running to my quest I started getting attacked and I turn around and it was him. The guy who helped me tried to kill me (I was playing on High Risk) idk how but I defeated him and took his loot. It was a close call but I won and I took that dubb. 15 mins later I felt bad so I whispered him if he wanted the stuff back and as I was whispering him I got attacked again...IT WAS THE SAME GUY, I killed him for the 2nd time and took his items again. I got scared after that and teleported to Stormwind. That was my first time doing world PvP and it was scary, exciting, and always kept me on edge. Sadly my character isn't as strong as I want him to be but it's not a bad build so far for my 1st character. Sorry for the long story 😅 I just ended up very happy with this game

The delirium buff that increases spell power doesnt last too long as drains 9k mana in about 5-10 seconds depending on how much you have. However, you can arcane missile low health players down really quickly.

@@johngone1nonly I've been rolling it a bit, you basically only Missile with Missile Barrage procs up. Once you're in, you just spam Moonfire/AE for Delirium procs, once you get it, you throw out Arcane Barrage + Fire Blast and spam AE, Missile isn't very useful without Missile Barrage, unless you're playing Arcane Displacement, which is fun, but doesn't work properly with the Mana Fiend sadly

Love the hybrid builds. Always trying myself to make one. Also Im trying a Pala build atm and ony have the one with the light RE. So any Pala RE's would be greatly appreciated. Love the amount of content you are putting out atm. Keep it up. But don't over do it. Hope you enjoy doing the videos as much as I like consuming them. A'lar Badoom

Hey Mcdoubles. Have you checked out Temporal Blast (Temporal Shift) yet? Might be a fun start up for your mage build til you get to Evoker and spam Fireball, Arcane missiles, frostbolt and blizzard maybe? You can even get those level 1 green slippers and enchant them with it so you get an attack ability at lvl 1 opening up other pickups early like arcane int etc. Loved the video and you've gotten me playing ascension over again :D

McDoubles, I just started a NELF "Hunter-ish" character and got into a 2v1 against two horde. I took one of them down, then had the other to about 1/4" health and got myself killed by a stealth NPC! :P Love the vids!

Lunar spirits is still by far my favorite tank build Tank you say? Retribution Aura Defensive Spellcasting That RE that increases arcane threat by 50% or something Moonkin form Haste > crit since lunar spirits doesn't crit at all Build it like a dodge/parry tank with points into moonkin, arcane missiles, moonfire, and mana regen while in combat Wear mail or plate armor (if moonkin works with that, I don't remember) Spell casting Dagger with shield Opens with a shot of arcane missiles followed by moonfire on main target, by the time the first hit of arcane missiles hits, moonfire should be on target and imediately pull agro on anything nearby. Moonfire is your pull agro, in cathedral you can pull pretty much to the first boss everything. After first boss you can pull everything in the first room and aoe it down Pull the top right half and the first boss with all the guards at the door moonfire everything while pulling and make sure you get lunar spirits activated on teh boss once everything is close This was my tank build I played in last season, pulled huge dps and equally huge agro, outside of a taunt from someone it was nearly impossible to lose agro lol

Mana fiend + Arcane Displacement treated me pretty well on my gnome Dunks, and you have free slots for two epic REs with the combo. Contenders are stuff like Pendulum, Unstable Evocation (fun boops), War Mage, Unfurling Time (with Slow), Lunar Spirits (great aoe damage), and bar-changing armor skills like for frost armor, fel armor, etc.. Arcane displacement on a clumped enemy team, into a Piercing Howl, and then arcane blast spam is very good.

Mcdoubles, i was curious. With all the new players coming to Ascension, who are equally lost as i am. You are VERY knowledgeable here, could you make a video explaining the simple stuff? Cards? Prestige? Rerolling w/ Hands of Fate? Mystic Altar, reforging, extracting, buy blues off AH to extract enchants they need so they can enchant their own gear? Stuff like that, would help the community a ton!

The build looks sick! I 100% feel you on not getting the Frostbrand, but mine is a little more ridiculous. I carded Seal of Command and leveled twice without getting judgement. My second go through I avoided rares like the plague. On the og level up I went to like 1,300-14 marks for rerolls. 🤦🏻‍♂️ Also they 100% need a death match game mode. That’s how you level in bg’s anyways. Winning gets you a bit, but kills get you the most xp.

I was literally trying to theorycraft a mana fiend build earlier today before you uploaded and now that you’re trying too I’d love some input. So far I was thinking about Arcane Power/Arcane Barrage for crow of the cards, maybe throwing in an innervate card for extra mana. Other than that my mind has been torn on the other spells to use, maybe making it a sort of melee mana Hunter also with mongoose bite and true shot aura, going with the ranged AP scaling of the intellect Hunter talent. Would love to hear your thoughts on this

You need to find out w/e Lava Lash build Illusion on S7 Alar server is using, he bursted me down in like 2 seconds, and I have 417pvp power with 7.2k hp.

You should also grab the shaman & warrior class quests from the main hall of razor hill on top of conscript of the horde, they all hand in around the same area and add up to nice xp with or without xp buffs !

Like you I just started my Ice Lash PvP build, but missing Frost Shock while having Frostbrand... I really want a stealth/cc package with it. Stealth/Vanish/Sap/Poly... Then use The Bad Sheep and Shroud of Concealment REs. Really need all 4 cards though to get 4 epics or get lucky early.

Yea you should try to do the Archmage Antonidas build for sure, sounds interesting but tbh idk how effective it would be, still worth a shot though. Also i think taking attack speed talents may be beneficial, would help you get off more frost bolts, like flurry.

Bro... Never really even thought about private servers. Its just never interested me. Quit WoW like a year ago. Tried coming back and its just no fun. Started looking into private servers and found this. This looks amazing. So this server is full loot open pvp? Or how does that work? Im an old vet of Ultima Online and have been loooking for something pvp oriented with full loot. Great video!

I just started a Fury Warrior style Orc with every drop of Duel Wielding talents possible and Axe/Polearm specialization. He's nuts. Dipping into Enhancement for Flurry with a 22% crit chance by level 42, I don't think I've had a character drop damage as fast as he does (while also dropping mana) If I win, reroll it to someone who needs it :)

I've been playing Ice Lash frost hybrid on A52 for all of the T4 content and I have a fun fact for you. Frost shock does not consume Fingers of Frost to deal increased damage. But! It does have a chance to generate Fingers of Frost.

joined ascension bc of your vids made a rogue-like backstab tauren going by the name of JonBonJovi .... first character was using 2h so never got offered backstab, felt useless at lvl20 put on a dagger on for when i was going to hit lvl 10, got offered backstab then and there. 90% off my time in BGs (leaving the ones we're getting smoked vs full-ranged) ended up getting really good CC (curse of slow?) w/ 25yrd range insta cast 50% slow curse for 10s, 6sec cd.... lets my team nab one or two and turn the tide of a stalemate!! ended up also picking up crusader strike and then lava lash as fillers. ran into a more-experienced player in the open world ----smoked him. he dm's me, saying i brought the smoke ;)

You should make a guide on what to do once you hit 60 on your first character. I for one can tell you I'm lost after just hitting 60 but I followed your 2h tank guide and it got me there in not time! I'll take any enchant that will get a Tank character started names Nugfails
