I think the Frosta we saw at Prom is basically the public facade she felt she had to have. She was basically in charge and wants to be taken seriously. But outside that she actually gets to be a kid. A kid who just really wants to smash things.

She also probably realized that after her utter failure at the Princess Prom, it was pointless to maintain that façade of being 'adult and mature' because no one could take it seriously anymore. Not only was the prom bombed on her watch, but she exiled the one guest who actually saw what was coming and was trying to protect the prom (did Frosta ever formally revoke that, or is it still on the books technically but no one thinks to enforce it?). Even more embarrassing, the Sword of Protection was stolen while in her care as part of it and two guests under her hospitality were kidnapped by the Horde who abused their status as guests to get in. If she has advisors, they probably pushed heavily for joining the Alliance afterwards or at least becoming co-belligerents against the Horde simply because if Snows let them get away with that, then who could take the kingdom seriously when they let such a thing happen on their watch? And even though they were in part just outfoxed, they had to do something in retaliation to maintain that if nothing else Snows would not take such slights lying down. ironically, that probably also helped Frosta realize that since this queenly mask of hers was going to be lost anyways in such an embarrassing manner, why not be herself instead? She's going to be seen as the kid in over her head anyways, may as well accept it since it means she can be true to herself and have her achievements be more satisfying because it would be Frosta's rather than the Princess of Snows'. In some ways, the Horde's perfidy at the prom actually had some benefits for Frosta even if in the short term it was a complete and utter humiliation that would drag Snows into the war or otherwise completely lose its standing at a diplomatic table.

@@blueskylark9965 Sokka would probably get annoyed by Seahawk's antics, Adora and Aang would just be conversing about how the responsibility of saving their respective worlds just got thrust onto them, Katara would be making Mermista jelly as hell with her superior waterbending, and Zuko and Catra would have some MEAN stories to swap about trying to defeat their former enemy...but yeah, Toph and Frosta would be wrecking Horde butt together.

Yeah, the personality change stems from having to put down the role of Ruler Of An Entire Kingdom and try to act normal around friends and peers. Since she hasn't really had a circle of friends before now, learning how to integrate as part of one is a bit of a struggle. Thus her desire to please goes from zero to BOUNCER in a heartbeat.

I ACTUALLY had a headcanon in my mind where some cocky Horde Force Captain starts taunting Katara near the Sea Gate...only for Katara to pull an anime-style flex and WIPE OUT THE WHOLE FLEET....and then be all modest like, "Oops, I sunk your whole fleet...." Meanwhile, Mermista's getting SO jealous: "OK, seriously!?"

I'm just imagining that her Personality Change has to do with the warmer Weather. Normally she very serious, but the quick change from the Tundra to the much warmer Bright Moon kinda messed her up. On Etheria, "Melting the Snow Queen" is meant quite literally. ;)

@@haydenberends3905 Not Glimmer, HER 80s' self could manipulate light energy almost any which way. Flight, lasers, flash bombs, invisibility, other powers. In this show all she dose teleport(which varies on usefulness depending on plot) and sparkle blasts with as much force as someone waving a fan.

So, like, I know a lot of people dislike Frosta because she can sometimes be a brat. But she can also be really sweet and soft with Glimmer. In my opinion, she's underrated. I even came up with a happy/sad headcanon. Frosta's parents are neglectful and that's why she sometimes acts like a brat. But Glimmer was the only person who really got to know Frosta. Plus, Frosta never mentions anything about her parents, and she tells Glimmer that she never had any friends before. And in my headcanon, Glimmer and Bow adopt Frosta

I don't think people hate her for acting 11. They just find it jarring that her character's so different from how she was in Season 1. I actually like Frosta more in the later seasons but she switched from serious queen to violent 11 year old far too quickly, to the point where it feels like the Frosta in Season 1 is basically a different character.

I think she's EXTREMELY underrated/disliked. I think they should've tried to explain that she was being herself, unlike the prom. The fact that she starts off season 2 as bouncy and energetic out of the blue is kind of strange and doesn't make sense. It would be nicer to have Frost's personality change little by little instance of instant, you know? Well that's the end of my "rant".

Wdym unlike the prom frosta has been herself in all the seasons frosta just act tough bec she wanted to protect her kingdom no matter what frosta has always been the serious one out of the group in S1 to s5 I don't get how she sudden shift her personality when she was being herself for all the seasons and frosta isn't even putting a facade she is just trying to protect her kingdom even if she's 8 yrs old I would done the same as frosta by putting the need of the people and her kingdom why does people disliked the prom I srsly don't get it

When I saw Frosta in Princess Prom I was kinda annoyed that they made her a kid but they make it work on so many levels i'm glad they changed her from the original.
