As for the parents being dressed in their royal clothes I just assumed they were still up (also explains why they came so quickly when Elsa called). Either the girls had an early bedtime (reasonable given their ages) or it was just dark early because it's winter and they're a long way from the equator, or both.

I’m still confused about how ice Anna shattered sideburn’s sword. Yeah ice be hard, but it ain’t bulletproof. Especially ice that thin around Anna’s hand and forearm. In realism that blow with the sword would’ve shattered Anna’s entire arm and part of her upper body and only created a mild inconvenience for Sideburns

If you slow the frames down, you see the sword freezing before it makes contact with her hand. It's supposed to mean that Anna's solid ice form is so cold that the sword was greatly weakened and prone to breaking if it hit something hard.

Lol dude its a movie with literal magic, she is frozen due to magical ice powers her sister has and you ask how the ice could possibly be stronger than a sword, like the only logical conclusion is its magical ice thats harder than the strongest of steels which makes since as the whole reason shes like that is from the magical curse given to her accidentally by her sister who again has magical powers, i feel like magic is to much of an obvious existing and shown off element in this disney movie for you not to assume the ice is super strong due to magic😭😭

Something that’s kinda missed is that ANNA is the one who performed the act of true love to thaw her own frozen heart when she protected Elsa. Elsa’s hug is loving of course, but Anna had already healed herself at that point

This movie would be over in 10 min. If their parents had any parenting skills or common sense at all. Tell Elsa to stop messing around with her apocalyptic powers and teach her/figur out how to actualy controll it. Instead of just locking her up and pretend she couldn't create an all consuming ice age and/or frostmosters by accident, killing every human in and around the town, eventualy turning her into a timebomb.

I have a theory as to how Elsa has powers yet Anna doesn't. To get them, you need two copies of the recessive allele to get the ice powers gene. And let's say their parents are either dominant and recessive + both recessive or two of the former. And Elsa happens to have both recessive alleles, hence powers, while Anna has a dominant non-powers gene, hence no powers (although I'm not sure if magic cooperates with genetics).
