Love your channel. I’m young but I’ve been disabled for ten years. The shortcuts I’ve seen people have to take because our healthcare system is so poor is infuriating to me. Having a doctor out here helping folks who may not have the financial resources or health insurance at all is refreshing. Good on you.

Dr. Dave although I appreciate your advice, have given a thumbs up, and agree we need to get much better at treating causes, people like me are forced to seek out over the counter solutions to treat corns and calluses because we simply can't afford to see a podiatrist. So if you have any advice other than "don't use the pads and see your podiatrist" i.e. what is safe to bring relief while we save up for a podiatrist appointment and new shoes, that would be very welcome. We want to follow your advice and do the right thing but many of us have to save up for weeks or months to get things taken care of in the health care system. Sadly it's a case of the haves and have nots.

Some of us don’t have access to a podiatrist due to lack of insurance but thank you for the warning about the product.

The 40% SA helped my mom in regards to her porokeratosis. She felt like she was walking on gravel before then. I agree though you have to be careful and only target the effected area

Thank you for your comment. My concern is how people use them for corns such as on hammertoes. I've used 40% sal acid on other problems but always with supervision.

the patch is about $4 for 6 patches but going to a professional will cost you a lot more

@@Zenbeau It's $30 for a specialist on my insurance in the US. Anyway, it isn't free for you, you just pay it via taxes.

@justinkase1360 yeah nothing is "free" free. But I would rather pay that little bit in taxes to not worry about paying for Healthcare

@@Zenbeau I think the tax difference is more than "a bit", but it's been a while since I've looked into it. The thing you also have to consider is that the US population is less healthy than the Canadian population, as well. It would be a lot more expensive to copy your system here...and there are many more parasites down here. Anyway, I agree that our system needs some serious attention, I just try to be objective.

How to help discoloration from corn pads?

I have a circulatory issue in my leg and developed corns directly across from one another on the SIDE of TWO toes. I have the pads on 24 hours at this point and I'm going to take your advice and remove them. I do wonder what caused me to suddenly start developing these corns. It was after both a nerve and circulation problem developed in that leg.

I mean, not necessarily... Hartz dog products are going through countless lawsuits for maiming and even the death of pets. Most of which have very solid evidence, but they are still being actively sold on shelves. :/

How long do you have to wear them to actually get to the bone , wouldn’t you know before you got to the bone

You 💯% would know you should stop before it gets down to the bone. He’s stretching the truth, or his patient is a complete Bone head.

@@gariejoyce5263Or his patient can't feel it as much due to diabetic neuropathy. Or his patient is elderly, with thin skin that can burn through in just a couple days. It is not like there's a thick muscle on top of your toe, once you go through the skin, there's a super thin layer of fat and then there's bone. Maybe give it a couple seconds of thought before you go off acting like you know everything.
