i think you need a thing called "Spar-Schäler" in german- it makes peeling so comfortable and you dont waste lots of carotts or potatoes. Unfortunatly I dont know what it is called in english, i try to find out. And i want to tell you again THANK YOU- this sirup-apple idea for the bakba..you should get a Nobel- Prize for it. its such a difference !

I would like to see how do you serve your salads, they seem delicious, but most of them I never ate and wouldn't know how to pare them (like chukchuka - or how do you spell it 😅 - seems like some kind of a spread to me). Btw, what do you think about half boiling baby potatoes first? Just to make the peel soft so you could peel it easily with some small knife, you know what I mean? Oh, and how come you use veggie wash with green beans and not just water-vinegar wash like in video before? Thnx for every video, I find them to be my best part of the week. 😉 Shalom.

@@anakozic8498 good morning Ana! thank you so much for your kind words and your comment 🥰 so I will try to answer your question one by one it is a very good point to perhaps boil the potatoes a little bit for them to be peeled easier I would be concerned that they would become mushy what do you think? as per the vinegar wash it depends on how clean the green beans are if they are very clean usually a simple vinegar wash will do but these particular green beans were quite dirty and needed really a good wash 🧼 For the shukshuka I simply put it in a bowl like this nothing else or a small platter with a serving spoon it depends on the theme of my table for Shabbat🥰 I will try to show how I serve them: as I often explain I put out the salads just before eating our meals on Shabbat and this is why usually I do not show how I serve them but I can definitely try to show it with pleasure! I hope that I have answered your questions and if I missed one please let me know I would love to answer them ❤️ thank you so much again for being here, it means the world to me! sending you virtual hugs

We are a Jewish family, but not Orthodox. I appreciate most of your recipes and thank you for sharing. CHILDREN AND EATING: we live in the city, but we have a backyard. So, I took one triangle of land, had a friend make wooden signs - one for each grandchild - and we planted carrots, chives, strawberries, and tomatoes together. They each have their own garden with their choice of fruits and vegetables. And they share their bounty with each other, too! Whenever they come over, they check 'their' gardens, and now they eat carrots, chives, strawberries, and tomatoes! I think it is important for the young ones to know where their food comes from. It is easy to do and almost any backyard can give room for a little vegetable garden.

Hi Adria! I am happy you appreciate most of my recipes:) as per the children, i absolutely agree with you, making them part of the process of cooking or baking or planting ( we also have an organic garden where we planted last Sunday kohlrabi, bell peppers , hot peppers, tomatoes, cherry tomatoes and eggplant and will be planting carrots and beets soon BzH) there is such a sense of pride for the children to know that they were part of the process, they saw everything grow and they are now eating what they planted: it is a great moment of teaching about the Kindness G.od gives us: He is blessing us with so many yummy food in different shapes and colours and how it is a miracle with everything we planted for it to come to maturity! thank you again for writing to me today! have a blessed day PS your grand children are lucky to have you!

@@frumitup God helped me understand the verse in 1 Corinthians 11:4-16. What I understand is that as man is not t cover his head in prayer and it is a diahonor to him to have long hair. Just like a woman must cover and her long hair is given to her as a covering. A man having long hair dishonors his head BECAUSE long hair is the covering for a woman to glorify God.

Thanks (Todah Rabba) for this. I am an Orthodox Jew that has moved from Los Angeles, CA to Meridian, MS recently. I have my own home here. However, I am also the only Orthodox Jew here. So, the only food I have for Shabbat is what I make myself. Thanks again. This means so much. Especially since I work and am not married. HaShem bless you with continued success, paranosa, Emunah, Shalom and all your needs and dreams. Shabbat Shalom.

Your home always must smell so lovely during these holidays. I was raised a born again Christian but as an adult I don't practice myself personally but I feel we are all gods children no matter what we believe and what ever you practice is beautiful either way and the hoildays are always a lovely time in my home as well. Between all the homemade meals and company we share I can feel the love just through watching you prepare and talk about why it's done the way it is. It's humbling to learn something else about how others different from oneself live but still have the similar grounding beliefs. I appreciate what you say at the end of each video as well. ♡♡

I'm working with a department to get back to work. I've been out of work for years bc I have sever anxiety. The medication I'm taking is helping. More Shabbat prep. Hi Sara-Malka. It was so good to have you back!! You were deeply missed last week!! Everything looked so delicious as always. I now have recipes for things I've never heard of and am excited to try. I loved your onion hack and the paper towel to carry it. When I was little, even if I only put one ingredient in a bowl, I felt like I made the whole thing myself and I definitely thought it was the best thing I've ever eaten 😂. Without realizing it, I learned so much doing that. I realized it when I was an adult and found myself doing the same things that Mom and Grandma did. I have never seen tomato paste in a tube!! I will definitely look for it. If I can't find it, I have what you showed us about freezing it in squares. I would have never thought of that. Have a wonderful Shabbat and I'll see you next week ❤️❤️

I discovered an heirloom green bean from 1880s Germany: Landreth Stringless. I have no yard so I grow them in 5 gal buckets. The tenderest most flavorful bean-- my young niece and nephew were thrilled watchiing them come up quick and produce heavily. There were beans enough for 3-5 people every 1-3 days from July to October. Rare Seeds carrys them or check a local farmers market. Kid friendly super tasty. And straight peeler on swivel. As yougest of 5 my job was veggie peeler-- fastest peeler I know of. Peace and Blessings, my friend. I love learning so much from your videos!

In my family, snapping and stringing green beans was a whole day task. The menfolk would bring the bean haul from the garden and the women and children would sit around a big picnic table to snap and string. Washing them in cold salted water would come after. Garden soil and critters could find their way inside the bean by way of the blossom. Salted water leaches everything out of the bean and gets them ready for canning. I miss those days as a child in West Virginia, visiting my grandparents.

It is wonderful to see people who cook from "scratch" I am always surprised when I go to the store and see all the pre-packaged meals, and how many people rely on someone else to make a relatively easy dish or meal. I think the rice or wheat dish would be good as a side dish, it is easy to make and I love using the cooking bags.

Hello my sweet friend❤️🥰 How are you my lovee 🥰? I understand you I always look At the pre-cooked Mac and cheese and I ask myself whyyyyyy?? Lol 😆 But Sometimes we do take out too: sometimes life gets very busy so I’m always grateful to have that option too of all these prepped meals 😂 I never tried the wheat as a side dish but I completely see how it would work ! Thank you again for being absolutely FABULOUS ❤️❤️❤️ Stay safe and blessed Wishing you a Shabbat shalom sweet sweet friend❤️🥰❤️🥰

@@frumitup I understand having to rely on something like that. Back in the 80s' there was a book written entitled "Make a Mix Cookbook" they gave the recipe for master mixes, like bisquick for example. I knew what went into the mixes and could control the ingredients, no preservatives! This works if it is something you cook all the time.
