Call it a rant all you want but personally, i am finding the frutiger aero aesthetic has become somewhat overused. Practically everyone who enjoys the aesthetic nowadays is photoshopping pics of the windows xp background with some fish, bubbles, and a 200s computer and saying "IS ThIS FruItGer aerO"? when in reality, it feels like this newer take on Frutiger aero is defeating the whole purpose the initial concept of frutiger aero in my eyes. Frutiger aero was sleek, glossy, clean, chaotic yet orderly, and that is what made it "the future we were promised", as it was made so the bleeding-edge technology of the 2000s was somewhat familiar and friendly, whilst being otherworldly at the same time. Its not that Frutiger aero is overrated, it has just lost its meaning.
