The extreme reverence shown in the consecration is very moving to me. I wish all priests would show this due reverence. For this reason (among many other reasons), I an 18 year old boy going to college am seriously discerning the priesthood, and am seriously looking into becoming a priest within FSSP. As of right now, I cannot see myself being anything but a priest, but nevertheless I will go through extensive prayer to discern for what God is calling me.

The Traditional Latin Mass is so beautiful, so reverent, and so holy. These are reasons why the devil hates it, and he'll do all he can to destroy it.

There is a young adult group called "Juventutem" (from the Introit: "Introibo ad altare Dei. Ad Deum qui lætifcat iuventutem meam." "I will go unto the altar of God. To God the joy of my youth.") whose aim is to introduce more young people to and to foster devotion to the Traditional Latin Mass. There is another group, the Institute of Christ the King, Sovereign Priest that also uses the Extraordinary Form exclusively.

If you are called to priesthood, nothing else will satisfy. I felt called to be a priest but God called me to marriage and I couldn't be happier. There are similarities. Making "extensive prayer" is much like making time for guidance in a marriage. God will guide you. I have wondered what it may have been like, I do not regret at all God's direction to marry and have children. If you are called to be a priest, you may wonder what marriage is like, but you won't regret the calling at all. :-)

In Masses for the Dead the foregoing prayer is said but the water is not blessed. Then the Priest takes the Chalice and offers it saying: OFFERIMUS tibi Domine calicem salutaris deprecantes clementiam : ut in conspectu divinae Majestatis tuae pro nostra Et totius mundi salute cum odore suavitatis ascendat.
