Fair question. The Portal talent isn’t going to be top tier every year. This year is a good example we didn’t get a lot of top players from the portal. We have a lot of question marks and are depth is mostly all 3 star and lower players who looked awful even against Georgias back ups. You can’t want to leave the conference to compete with Georgia Ohio State and Bama but not drop the bags that they do to get the top high school kids

Here’s the bottom line, FSU better figure out how to get more money in the pot, or else this will all be a moot point. There’s no way in 💩 that Miami should be out recruiting FSU…NO WAY IN HELL! The school, boosters and fans better wake up, and realize it could get very ugly, very fast!

I think there is some real truth to the idea that our commits get ranked lower than they would otherwise. I also think if you look at the higher end of the 3 star range there are a ton of players that end up being very good and Mike does an amazing job of taking guys with high upside and the physical frame to be very good. Taggart took a lot bodies that basically had no chance by comparison.

Yes. Very fair question. And it's a concern. You can't get every big recruit, but you have to get your fair share. And you can't expect the coaching staff to regularly turn 3 star recruits into 5 stars.

Fair question, these programs have been going in different directions with FSU proving to be the best program in Florida. Neither Florida nor Miami have any business out recruiting us. FSU needs better recruiters especially with as much as we’re told the NIL is one of the strongest out there.

Mario is a top 5 recruiter in the country the last 10 years. Florida is the Flagship program in the State winning on the field doesn’t trump that in the short term.

Our players have the highest player rankings in the country. MN chases quality over quantity. Don't let the number of players fool you.

😅It's not ALL NIL isn't ours supposed to be top 2? The recruiting failure excuses are tired now in yr 5 yes we went through covid and 2 bad yrs but Mia & UF continue to have bad yrs but bring in better classes than us, the portal is cool to supplement with but there aren't consistent studs in there this last cycle was quite dry both the spring and the fall, HS recruiting is never dry there are 5*s in it every yr there is no excuse to continue to accept 2nd/borderline 3rd tier recruiting at FSU... We're not catching the top programs with the portal alone

The Battle's End is well run and won't just spend money to get a player. If the kid's only concern is how much he'll make playing for us; he's not the right fit. Go play for scUM and be happy at 7-5. Go Noles!

Honestly I get it but it just seems like we dont get huge recruits anymore, yeah we get a few good players but not compared to other schools. Not all players are for fit you need some superstars also in my opinion. We really need to land Jamie Frenche

I love the TOP TIER recruits FSU is getting. look at the standings compared to number of recruits. I believe they are killing it with the talent they are pulling in and the product is showing especially when complemented by transfer DUDES. I believe in Norvell and CO.

I think mike is really using the portal to build solid teams. The recruiting of hs players is a 3 or 4 year plan 😊

@@yakcrew_Fl we all can agree on that but we can't get ourselves constantly clowned for the Jeremiah Smiths, KJ Boldens and Travis Hunters annually we need to start keeping these guys if we want to be to be all the way back to 90s FSU...

@@Dre384 it's not about Jeremiah Smith specifically, and top 12 is ok if you're Clem or Ole Miss LSU etc FSU should be recruiting at the top... Bobby and even Jimbo weren't getting double digit rated recruiting classes ever we in yr 5 and the need to keep having to prove it on the field can miss me as UF and Mia out recruit us with bad records yes development is important but both CAN be done see the programs at the top

How many seasons is it going to take before folks catch on to how Mike Norvell recruits? He has shown that he is diligent and takes his time. He does the same with the portal. He will get his guys, count on it. He has proven himself.

That's good , that creates parody . Better games. Recruits are mercenaries deciding who's money they are the most loyal to . Like all the college football programs in Florida. Am an old SEMINOLE and love the in state rivalries.

It’s a relay race and we’re only on a second leg of the relay got a long way to go and we got some fast bitches coming up. FSU will be just fine. We got the scientist coach Norville and the baddest team on the planet. That’s the standard town Tallahassee.
