This rebuttal witness exposes Katherine Magbangua as an unadulterated, pathological liar. She lied about everything but her name.

AND the fact that she hid money from the govt so she could reap benefits!

Thanks Judge for correcting lawyer for continually repeating & rephrasing the same info.

Interesting that the continuing friendship with Charlie Adelson after their closer relationship (and after the murder) that Katherine Magbanua talked about on the stand appears to be solely about benefits/payments from Charlie to Katherine.

Those text messages have an underlying message. Katherine Magbanua becoming too demanding for her pay-off? Is she lucky to be alive?

So Charlie and Katherine had some code going. Label the bribery and or pay-back benefits as loans.

Yeah it sounds like they kind of got the idea that they will be investigated if they say it's a gift.

Is the audio cutting out making anyone else crazy?

Sounds like even the attorneys are confused about WA immunity Is there anyone who can explain it?
@gala_pi Жыл бұрын
Whatever she says cannot be used against her. She can be convicted, jailed but her testimony cannot be used as evidence against her.
@debbiemartin2026 Жыл бұрын
@@gala_pi this is an old comment. Georgia Cappelman, on surviving the survivor (before the first half of the interview), states that she does not have immunity against any questions asked to her on the stand, that can be proven to be false. (Basically that she lied about) . I rewatched this last week when this subject came up. You can watch the interview there. I cannot give the time stamp bc for some reason I now have an arrow on my iPad that blocks the timestamp, but it is before the end of the first half of the interview. Joel Waldman, the host specifically asks her about the immunity. I actually posted that part of the conversation somewhere else…but didn’t write it down so I can post it here for you.

This judge was brilliant. A no nonsense judge. I laugh today because these defence lawyers has cake in their face when Katie testified in Charlie’s case admitting to everything and proving the “states theory” as they put it.

Why do they continue to have court reporters in the days of filmed/videoed court cases?
@my1vice2 жыл бұрын
It's the government.
@darkwillow572 жыл бұрын
An argument for court reporters could be that for some purposes it's easier to skim read thru a transcript to find a particular portion than it is to ffd and rewind thru hours of video or audio tape to find something specific.

First of all, numerous states, including my state (NY) don't allow cameras in the courtroom, so they would need a court reporter. But second and more importantly, if there are audio or technical difficulties, they would be screwed. You always need that safety net of a written transcript.
