That was amazing. I feel inspired and humbled. What a wonderful team you are. I love that you show the MA teams cheering for you. I think that it says a lot that your direct competitors admire and like you so much. Congratulations on an amazing season.

What size screws did you guys use to connect the slides together? M4 or M3?

We used M4 screws

how did you guys make the misumi slides extend on 11/25 1:50 ? I saw two flat beams but what did you use to connect the beams together and extend?

The 2 flat beams are connected just with a screw, locking nut, and some washers. The closer beam is powered with an orange Savox servo that you can see at 1:48 when the lift is raised. We switched to ProModeler servos halfway through the season to get more range and reliability.

do you use roadrunner or some other motion profiling software?

We have our own code for tracking position and also to control robot driving based on waypoints. It took a year to get this right, but we learned a lot and now we have very fine control over robot navigation in autonomous.

We can usually use the existing holes on the slides and drill a few more if we need to. You can see more detail in our Reveal Video kzfaq.info/get/bejne/sLR-gKyb39DFfZc.html. If there's enough interest, we can make an update to our Lifts and Linear Systems video.
