One advantage of using CDC feather, including the rachis, as a body material is that the rachis is hollow!

An interesting variant on the F fly. Usually tied with a thread body and the wing extending only the length of the hook.

Cdc is great for drys if you want to learn how to use it best watch davie mcphail video's we use a lot of wild duck cdc in uk you get big selection in decent sized bags the chap from Switzerland materials and tool's are way over priced and he's not the greatest of tyres
