Selling long range scanners so early is WILD

My favorite ship is the mantis ship with the huge teleporter. If you get the teleporter to level 3, you can spam teleport back and forth your boarding party and kill entire ships often with just one boarding attempt.

AA, you’ve got to try out multiverse whenever you think you’ve got the game down, it’s an incredibly rework of the game

love our indecisive aquatic friend but can someone please tell him that ships are not attempting to escape unless the game is explicitly telling you they are?

when it comes to dealing with fires on board , you can vent compartments to space to put them out fast. the shut the doors and make repairs. also that stealth ship looks like a big arwing

Thank you for getting me back into this game. Completed a run yesterday with double Burst laser II and double Swarm missiles, together with Automated re-loader, Defense Scrambler and Explosive replicator. Will never have such a god run again.

Well, at least it isn't the Stealth-C cruiser. Long Range Scanners are an absolute godsend of an Augment specifically because it lets you see hazard nodes like Asteroids and Pulsars in advance. Titanium Casing is better than nothing, but it's also worth pawning off for scrap to buy shields early (or a clutch weapon). Hacking or Drones are quite useful on all the Stealth cruisers due to them only getting 3-weapon slots.

I've been playing a ton of FTL lately, and last night watched your Zoltan run, and thought to myself, man I wish he'd do more FTL.

They could make a ridiculous amount of money if they ported this game to mobile.

lmao attacking the zoltan peace envoy is such a goofy move now you cant get zoltan shields xD. Also love the new player energy of selling longrange scanners instead of titanium system casing. At least he didnt give up the preigniter tho.

Battery use zero. oh wait...an hour later he uses it. lol Good build though, stealth + big alpha strike is a good way to play. But uh the micro is still a bit pants-on-head at times. Leaving the mantis crew working the camera while the human crew go fight the invading zoltan, aiight I guess it works... then switch to venting 02 very slowly from a single doorway. This does not spark joy. Yeah upgrading doors is like no1 priority unless you're using a very specific build of ship or your crew are mantis and don't care about combat. Also taking ships intact is a great way to get more weapons/items/crew. So fire weapons or ion weapons + teleportation stuff is a viable option. Raw damage is nice, but taking out the different parts of the ship is just as effective in neutralising the enemy. And if you've got time you can grind up engine/shield/pilot skill vs one of those drone ships if it only has like a little laser.

"This might be the best FTL run ever." Sorry to rain on your parade, but my stealth run had me SO lucky. Got a pre-igniter, burst laser mk 3, AND a glaive beam. Wiped half the ships on my first volley. Was so rich by the time i hit the flagship i was like... 80-100 scrap from being completely maxxed out on ship upgrades.

aaaaaaa your micro and macro is so bad. Please read descriptions of races and weapons. Also pause more often and think more about your existing systems. Another think is fires, you can airlock them. and medbay doesn't heal boarders.
