@@spopdee6072 when i made this comment, i passed the first phase by over leveraging. it works but i had a lot more to learn. now i'm at the point where I am consistently profitable, but also looking for a source of income. it's so important to not skip any step and become successful the right way. It's more realistic this time, and that's a good thing.

Simao Luis Why is making 2k an issue ? Trust the process man. Keep in mind they’ll give you a free repeat if you’re in some profit. Follow your plan and be consistent with your risk. Don’t start risking more because you only made 2k this will kill you. Keep doing what you do and you’ll be fine.

Finally! Someone in the industry finally got it right when it comes to funding trading accounts. I have looked at a lot of other companies and none of them have the right business model like FTMO does. I actually discovered FTMO from someone's KZfaq comment.

@@alexairplanner exactly most people including KZfaqrs are saying that same bs, they dont understand that if you hit lets say in a 10k account 9% drawdown if you really had 1k to trade with then you have 100 dollar left and with that you can no longer open the same lot size anymore but its not like that in a 10k account

lesson learned.. Don't rush things out. there are 30 days challenge, and 60 days verification which equates to 3 months before you become funded. that is equivalent to learning a new course in forex..

Thank you very much for this wonderful opportunity, I am having a great experience with FTMO, trading in my verification, I made a lot of mistakes in my trading so far, like tight stop losses, and does not respect ranges, enter on correlated pairs, spending too much time concentrating on the charts, until I felt like my brain is exploding, and many more, so any recommendation for me beside shooting my self will be great, right now I am checking my mistakes to avoid it next week, and applying few changes that I learned , and hopefully, I will recover soon, and become an FTMO trader, thanks again for your videos

@@mrazhari100 No, it's a testing phase only, then comes verification phase. Third phase is earning phase, your first opportunity to earn and get paid.

Not allowing trades over the weekend means that FTMO does not encourage swing trading ...which in my view gives trader advantage to benefit from big swings and that is not fair ...gaps happens i agree but with stop loss its taken care of ...you need to review weekend trades and allow your traders to be successfull with swings

Unfortunately, if we allowed to run trades over the weekend, it could even stretch losses way over the Max Loss limit. We simply can not accept risk that high.

Please consider allowing Forex traders to hold positions over weekends.This is essential for daily swing traders as we need to hold on to winners for as long as possible to maximize profit.

Unfortunately, we can not offer a solution for this, since we have to avoid potential gaps in the market. Please understand that if we were to allow holding a position over a time period when there is no liquidity, some traders could choose to open very high volume before the market closes which could result in crossing even the Max Loss limit.

@@ZTheMoki finish babypips and then practice with demo accounts for at least a few months with different trading strategies until you find one your comfortable with, you could even get a mentor if u want someone to teach you a specific strat then work on that strategy until you become profitable keep building experience in the market before u even think about getting funded or using real money.

I heard about FTMO last week and I have been following the trend ever since then and so far, I so much love everything about the company but at thesame time I still have some questions. Q1. What are the chances of passing the challenge and if peradventure the trader doesn't pass the challenge, will the initial fee be refunded ? Q2. About the issue of identity verification, here in Nigeria, it is not everybody that has the international passport for verification , over 65% percent of people use the national identity number ( NIN) as means of identification but not all firms accept this. So the question is does FTMO accept the national identity number (NIN) as a means of ID verification?

Couple of questions: 1. If stop loss is triggered during a news event, will that be classed as violation of rules and account closed? 2. Once trading Live, if the profit i.e. $3000 is not withdrawn on the first month, do you still take your 30% leaving $2000 in the account for the next month and then if the next month additional $1000 is made on top of $2000, how much profit split you take - 30% again from the total $3000 that month? Or do you only take profit split WHEN the money is withdrawn? Thank you

Hi Karolina Karolina, Let me answer each question individually: 1. Yes, that is correct. If your stop-loss limit is executed during a restricted event, it is a violation of FTMO rules, leading to the termination of the real account. 2. No. It is up to you if you want to decide to let your account grow. Only after your solid decision that you want to withdraw your profit-split we will get 30%. You can also decide to withdraw just half of the profit, and the rest will stay in your account to trade with bigger capital. So, we will get 30% from the half. Hello Mr P, Losing on FTMO Account dosn't carry any implications for our future cooperation. We believe that by losing one account, you should actually improve as a trader and thus have no reason not to work with you in the future. You would have to go through the evaluation process again though.

Important question, Ima take the challenge next week and I am confused. If I am holding a position which I entered 2 hours before an economic event and during that event the impact takes my trade to profit during those 2 minutes and is closed by my TP (not manual) is it a break of rules? You're just not allowed to enter during these 4 mins. Any trade taken before is fine.

Let’s say I have funded account of £10,000. Daily loss refreshes everyday which is fine. Let’s say max loss is £1,000. I open 1 trade which is in -£200 and then it reaches in £1,000 profit. My max loss is already -£200. But my initial capital is at £11,000 with profit. Does this mean my max loss has gone higher?

I passed the challenge, and verification! But I didn’t trade more than 10 trades on both challenge and verification, I risked only 1% per trade but I have a high R:R just waiting on minimum trading days now for the verification to be passed! 💪🏽 Looking forward to trading FTMO capital!

If you pass the challenge and verification and made a bit of money as a funded trader, are you able to withdrawal 70% of the challenge target + verification target + the money you made? Or only the money you made as a funded trader? Thank you

My question is about the merging of the accounts and also the scaling plan. With a 3x 100K account merged into 1 making 300K, Does it mean that automatically, your trading objectives change into that of the 300K account? Thus, you will be required to obtain 10% of 300K and a daily loss limit of 5%? Also, if your account is merged and you qualify for the scaling plan, does it mean that for a 300K account, you will receive 25% of the 300K or you will still treat it as 3 separate 100K accounts and thus make it 25% of the first 100K and treat the rest as such? I don't think there is a profit target on live account. As long as you profit than you are fine.

Hello Francis, In case of the FTMO Account merger, the absolute values of Max Daily Loss and Max Loss merge as well. The percentages stay the same, so Max Daily Loss at 5% of the account initial capital (10% on aggressive risk setup) and 10% Max loss (20% on aggressive). E.G. on $300k account, Max Daily Loss is $15k and Max Loss $30k. There is no Profit Target in FTMO stage.

The funded 100k account type is standard or ecn? Just to know that the price data does not feed from your server only. Most of the brokers not link with market maker.

I was under the impression that once a trader passed both phases that they get funded. In the video however he says that they have to check the trading method to see if it works in the real market. What does that mean? I’m a scalper - I take 7-30 pips of profit and get out. I’m hoping that this method is acceptable. Did anyone ever get declined after passing both phases over just being a quick scalper? This is the first time I’m hearing about this “trades check” its hounds like a condition to me when I thought the actual conditions are the 2 phases . Please someone enlighten me. Thanks!

We're talking about illegitimate trading practices such as trading on a delayed chart or extreme cases of HFT. Hello John, It is very rare to happen and the cases are assess on individual basis. If we detect an accidental abuse of gaps or frozen data feeds, we generally delete results of that trade(s) or offer you a retake of the evaluation stage. If it was obvious purposeful abuse of the demo account conditions as compared to a real market or a repetetive offense, we might not be as lenient.

Hi maki senju, I am sorry, but we are not allowed to give any advice on your trading style or strategy. It is totally up to you what strategy you pick and use. We cannot say what is better and what is worse, because something works for one trader and something do not. But to your case in general, during events such as for example US presidential election, the market is often highly volatile before, during and after this type of event. Hope you can understand it and keep working on the journey to become a professional trader.

I am doing a demo and passed only for the first 5 days, and I did not achieve the profit target. The practice is on, and I have another five days. I kept two open positions on the weekend. I think this is maybe a violation of some rule. I may try one more time DEMO (even though I pass all the challenges) where I will strictly follow the position holding and news event.

Once you meet all Trading Objectives, we also have to make sure you are trading according to a real market. If you were, for example, abusing gaps or used other illegitimate practices, we would not progress your account to a later stage. You can read more about the topic here: ftmo.com/en/faq/what-is-trading-according-to-a-real-market/ You also have to be of the age of majority in order to get the FTMO Account, but in case you weren't, we could create the FTMO Account in the name of your legal deputy. If you trade according to our rules and pass the Verification, you will get an FTMO Account.

Absolutely, if a trade in opened or closed either SL, TP, Entry level and or manually; All of those actions would imply a breach of the trading restriction. (if they occur 2 min. before or after a restricted news)

do you have to keep the profits in your account to achieve the scaling plan or can you withdraw? is it just obtaining 2.5% a month for 4 months and you get an upgrade even if you withdraw?

Yes, even i you withdraw the profits, you will be eligible for the sScaling plan in a case that you manage to get 10% profit in 4 month cycle.

Hello Ashil, If you end in negative, nothing really happens, you just continue trading with your current account equity in the new trading month. If you breach Max Loss or Max Daily Loss and your account ends in loss, we cover all the loses for you.
