Congratulations Tracy! Thank you guys so much for this insight into the mindset, strategy and setup. I'm going to study these videos and learn a bunch for sure. Would have been nice to see the flags Tracy was watching but there is something to be learned from the flags and the conversation you had over them

Not really what anyone would like to see in a final but what a lesson to us mortals. Thanks for showing us this and hopefully saving us a heap of school fees.

Very educational for an FTR guy like me. The wind calling especially is an invaluable lesson. I just acquired my first custom and it has an EC tuner to boot. I’m going today to test it for the first time. Wish me luck!

There are another interesting VS in this video. One, the most interesting: - Wood Stock - Fiber glass stock and second: - Seb JoyPod 2021 - Tactical Evo (not sure 100% is the bipod model on the right)

Why no rear bags, -plus noticed no adjustment on the front of the rifle, like a small ball handle etc. ?

Good Lord, I know this has nothing to do with shooting, but tell me Tracy Hogg doesn't look like the twin brother of the legendary arm Wrestler John Brzenk!!

Man I feel like these guys discipline must be so much more difficult then f open. Maybe I'm wrong but man it sure seems like these 308s move way more.. also so do they shoot normal 308 win? Or is it improved or what because it seems like their velocity is pretty high for a 220 grain

To be an FTR gun it has to have standard specs chamber, no mods allowed. It is certainly more difficult than F standard or F open. In fact, F class open is training grounds for FTR shooters :-). Velocity is a result of careful load development and optimum barrel length.

Not 220 grain bullets, but Berger 200-20x (200 grain). Standard 308w but with long throat, to increase case capacity.

Have you guys shot at competition / international level and at birsley england and also do you know any of the australian team members at all, like Steve, Wayne, Anna, Lou, etc etc. 🦘🦘👌✌👍 1 thing that all good shooters do is look through the scope with both eyes, you need to read the wind down range, plus i did not know at the time in 2020 in F class shooting, that i had real bad cataract in my right eye and i have had the eye fixed, but had not the chance to shoot with the boys yet, but i hope i can in MID jan at 1,200 yards, which in 2020 my score was 38/50 for the 308 and 48/50 for the 5.56mm at 1,200 yards.🦘🦘👌✌👍

IMO its due to the lawn from start point to the middle and way out to the target, if its warm then the lawn gives off its own wind and if you have wind as well, like Erik was saying from right to left, then based on that 2.5 or3 MOa to the right hold over should be right on the money, but again it depends on the type of scope and reticle you have if you have a mil dot type then you can make fine adjustments, where as a MOA type reticle its the lines on the ring of the target you have to sight in and thats where the mistakes happen IMHO. Cheers 🦘🦘👌👌✌✌👍👍 Plus the flags are at what height as well, as the projectile at 1,000 yards is lobed at the target, so its flying through the air towards the target and gets shifted due to wind plus heat, but the flags are not telling the tue wind value IMHO at this range. 🦘🦘👍👍

@@f-classpointsseries i know it does, i will tell you why, 1 day when it was over 32 degrees c you can clearly see the mirage and especially down low near the lawn, the flags were about 2 / MOA or maybe 2.5 to the right, wind blowing to the left about 10 to 15 miles per hour & the flags are up hi around 25 ft up in the air, but down low the wind is blowing faster in my opinion so i adjusted and i shot 48/50 with a 5.56mm, so i think it does effect the projectile, but in saying this i do not have a gun licence and or weapon at all and have not since i first shot the AU SLR at 400 meters and was only 14 years old, so in 2020 asked to go to aa practice shoot with some guys, but did not know they are Formula 1 of shooting F Class FTR with 308 and i was totally blown away, no barrel tuning or flash suppressor and did not think i could achieve anything like i did, but with the military training the basics of marksmanship worked well for me, plus i am a left leg amputee, not that it matters just saying? cheers 👌✌🦘🦘👍
