Oh wow, super video. I have the aluminium ackerman and it was seizing the whole steering. Driving me crazy trying to find a solution. Off to the garage to add spacers, longer screws and nut/washer! Amazing!

What is the metal front bumper? Where did you get that? Looks great. I swapped mine out for a carnage bumper, but it is quite big on the vantage (but does the job well).

It's from a rock crawler front axle I modified it a bit so it would fit 👍

Hello, good video. Well found. No one seems to complain about the e-clip pinging or the part being inadequate to start with. I guess at this price point people just pay £3 for a new servo saver or they don't care or notice. A link from where you got it would be useful and also a hint about shipping costs would be useful as well. I am in the UK too and I have found a place to buy it from. It says free shipping from China but what about import taxes etc? How much did it cost you? I think there are a few weak points with the FTX Vantage (known under other names too) but I think it is very underrated and with a few upgrades it is pretty darn good value. Is yours brushed? Steel spur and pinion are a must if going to brushless.

Hi there. I use to race 1/10 electric 4wd when I was a boy. I'm now in my late 40s and I'm interested in getting back into racing and perhaps get my son involved. Looking for a budget 1/10 electric 4wd and think the vantage might be a good choice. Are they reasonably competitive? Back in my day I raced my yokomo dog fighter against Schumacher cats an kyosho optima mids. Ball diffs were pretty much in everything so I'm surprised to see cars still have gear diffs.

I've never raced the vantage but some people have with s few mobs ,they are a very capable buggy but the front arms are a bit weak so I'd change them the brushless motor is ok but again not the best but all depends on what you want to do with it

Thanks for watching the video .The washers are from eBay just type in anodised counter sunk washers and same with the nuts anodised nylon nuts I used M4 but may be different size on your vehicle.hope that helps
