And welcome back to another video from Chelmswood RC.
In this video we will be taking a look at how I break my nitro engines in now please do not take the way I do things as you have to it's just the way I do and I do read the manufacturers guidelines before I start.
We start with the first tank just standing idealing and yes the engine did stop a few times but that is to be expected of a new tight engine.
We then proceed to the fun part of each tank at different speeds 2nd tank quick tap on the accelerator the. 1/4 throttle then half throttle then the big one full throttle.

Nice vid and info... I used to suck out the fule with a hand fueling bottle but in reverse suction, then restart the engine until it runs out of fuel in the carb etc ..jim

get the two speed gearbox and tuned air filter for it and you will see a bit more power but it will need tuning to the air filter compared to the stock one

Hi mate im new to the nitro rc just bought the zorro looks a great bit of kit. I've broke the engine in the same 1 tank idle 1 tank 1/4 throttle then 1 tank half throttle. What sort of adjustments did you do on the speed screw settings, carb settings etc. Cheers great video by the way

hi Andrew glad you have got one of these pieces of brilliant kit. when it comes to the high speed and low speed needle as well as the idle screw I cant give you a proper answer as all engines are different. at the moment I have not touched my settings yet as I am waiting for better weather as the weather can make a difference to the engine. but what I will say is do the high speed needle first at 1/8th a turn clockwise a time then retest as long as you see a difference in better performance then keep doing a 1/8th a turns once you dont see any improvements then stop. hope this helps you any more questions just throw them my way. peter

What accu you use for engine heating?

I used a normal engine heater and to power it I used a 3s lipo battery. Peter

hello, i am looking to buy this rc car as my first nitro but don't know what tools to get to start the engine. Could you recommend some stuff to get me started

hello i can easily help you out on this question all you would have to do is go to somewhere like wheelspin models or modelsport and when you have the one you want it usually says on the side what you will need. and all it is you will need is a nitro starter pack which has the glow plug igniter and charger fuel bottle a 5 in one hex wrench a phillips and flat head screw driver and of course nitro fuel which i would recommend the optifuel range at 25% if you go to wheelspin models say that you got recomended by me and my channel and they will help you out. anymore questions please feel free to ask me i will help where i can. peter please subscribe.
