FTX Zorro: Upgrades and Updates Finally Arrive 🚀🔧 - The long-awaited upgraded parts are here, folks! After fitting all the upgraded electronics on the brushless conversion, our beloved FTX Zorro took a trip to RC heaven for a bit 😇. But, as always on ChriswithaC RC, we live by our motto: upgrade everything! So, I've ordered some fantastic upgrades and spare parts to make this truck truly awesome 🏎️💨. Hey there Pete , Sorry for the late reply been so busy the past few days . Well I’m still waiting on Hobbybitz to supply me with my driveshaft I ordered it nearly a month ago and nothing . Change out the plastic servo saver to the metal upgrade kit as well as the metal Acherman to reduce steering slop further. The metal upgrade kit includes 4 ballraces as well, rather then the stock bushes in the plastic servo saver. Also the upgraded servo saver a knurled adjuster nut.

hi ya mate sorry for being quiet the past couple of weeks ill explain via pm great to see the zorro getting more upgrade treatment and its going to be a awesome car when you have finished with it but i will say i am loving the carbon fibre piece cant wait to see the upgraded version. and to be honest i think this camera is better than the dji. hope you and the family are all well. anne peter and ella

It’s gonna be a blast once it’s upgraded. The steel spur/pinion and driveshaft are the biggest upgrades. Will you be filming at the event this weekend? I wish I could make it but it’s soooo far away from me. Take car buddy

With mine I span the front bottom arms around so that the front shock fits in the 'eye ' on the bottom arm. This has gave the front end more available travel. ( I also modded front shock tower so the shock sits 20mm higher) the truck sits much higher and it can now be set with a nice bit of static sag. With the battery moved across the motor mount lowering the centre of gravity and the rear shock lower mounting moved closer to the chassis the truck has loads of static sag now. It's still a bit of off work in process. I'm not claiming it's a UDR however it moves about allot like my friends UDR now on and off throttle the way dives and twists. The traction rolls are still there on tarmac but much less frequent. This is basically ques from the UDR design. Next is to get some internally sprung crawler shocks to assist the 120mm on the back and find a way of doubling the front shocks. Hopefully this will improve the truck further? I did chuck some 100000 weight oil in the rear diff as well. The diff isn't sealed so over time it will come out. But that has helped with the traction rolling as whilst on throttle. Good luck 👍

Top of the early afternoon, Sir! Whoa, new camera opens more doors than you think: I'm an un-lofty 5'7", so your cam angle lets me know how _The Other Side Lives_ lol That Zorro chassis layout, IFS up front and 4-link out back, is very similar to my brushless Eachine EAT04/Feyue FY-03. My first live-axle rear end, and I'm not a fan. The CG is really high compared to my buggies and trucks, and I question the reliability of it compared to typical setups with the driveshaft swinging around all _willy nilly._ It's a bit heavier than a comparable buggy too, so for my needs it didn't tick the boxes. Very good looking machines, though. and if outfitted with rally-style hood lights up front, can protect a slim HD camera like a Go2. Instead, I found the chassis is *perfect* for FPV! The layout of these chassis allows for a vertically mounted 5g servo where the "drivers seat" is, and after a righteous beheading, the view is second to none. Space for a chonky VTx is available near the spare tire, which pulls duty protecting your antenna, at least it has a purpose now. The view through the cage is _the best,_ and so far my favorite ground FPV setup. Sort of a hybrid crawler/basher now, I may pick up a Zorro to see how a quality version performs and if it's better than the cheap kit I have (which has been flawless so far as a camera ship). Hey buddy , ha ha see how the other side lives made me laugh 😂! Oh ok is the Zorro the same size as the EAT04 as this is quite a big 1/10th and I did find it to be quite nimble if driven right , my plan with this truck is just for it to be a ground basher only no air at all , as it’s quite light in comparison to my other trucks , yeah some lights up front would be awesome hmmmm might need to look in to that actually I like that idea 💯 Oh FPV truck now this sound like great fun , what are you going to be getting ???? A fixed camera on a tripod would be a much better option than a headcam as all the movement can be quite distracting and a bit nauseating to people prone to motion sickness. Just a suggestion, not a criticism. Nice collection of upgrades there but, given the cost, I would personally go with the brushless Zorro right from the start. That had, in fact, been my plan then FTX released the Apache so I bought one of those instead. It will be interesting to see what upgrades will start to appear for that. I have added some of the anodised aluminium upgrade parts to my FTX Vantage and they really do make a difference. One of those upgrades was the steering Ackerman which just happens to be the part you couldn't identify. Looking forward to your upgrade video.

Hey there buddy , Massive thank you for the feedback on the camera angle i never thought about it that way when doing a heads down look at something , luckily i bought a new camera tripod a few weeks ago so will start using that more often . AS for the part phew thanks for the heads up as when i recorded it i could not work out what was what lol ! Yeah i noticed some carefully planned alloy parts on the FTX ranges do seem to help , it was the same with my DR8 . Thanks once again for watching and your feedback . Stay awesome Chris :)
