John: I made these last night and shared them with my friend from Charlotte well she was visiting in town for our 60th birthday celebration. She loved them. And so did her niece, so I will keep this in the permanent brownie file as a new number one most delicious brownie recipe ever! I should mention that I added 3/4 of a cup of chocolate chips and one cup of walnuts. And since I didn’t have a special chocolate powder, I just used the Hershey’s. They were decadent; And so decadent, that they were gone in less than 24 hours. Thank you for another wonderful recipe. Keep on baking🥰

So I tried this recipe today, I followed the directions and weights down to a T (except the baking time, took an hour in the oven maybe because I had a glass pan?)......and let me tell you that it was fantastic as advertised. It was exactly like he shows, it was glossy and crunchy on top, the insides were molten chocolate. My wife complimented on how good it tastes and my son loved it too. The house smelled great while baking! This is my first brownie that I have ever made that did not turn out to be a dry and crumbly. Thank you for sharing this recipe, it was delicious and easy to follow!

Ingredients: - 1 cup granulated sugar 200g - 1 cup brown sugar 200g, lightly packed - 3 eggs room temperature - 3/4 cup cocoa powder 75g - 1 cup flour 120g - 1 teaspoon salt 6g - 1.5 cup dark chocolate chips 260g - 1 cup melted butter 225g, unsalted - 1 tbsp coffee 15mL - 1 tbsp vanilla extract 15mL Instructions: 1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F and prep a 8x8-inch baking pan with parchment paper.
 2. In a large bowl, combine melted butter, eggs, vanilla extract, and coffee then mix together well.
 3. Add the white and brown sugars to the mixture and whisk together well.
 4. Sift cocoa powder, flour, and salt into the bowl and mix until just combined
 5. Toss in chocolate chips (or chunks) and fold into the batter.
 6. Add batter to pan and smooth to the edges. You can add more chocolate chips to the top before baking if desired.
 7. Bake for about 30 minutes or until the center is just set. You'll notice the center does not wiggle when the pan is moved.

I tried this tonight and they were amazing!! I just want to share what to expect when you make them :) 1. I didn't have a microwave so I melted it using a small pot and I cooled it down just a little bit until I could tolerate the heat 2. I decreased the white sugar amount from 200g to 150g and I think it was too much. If you want to decrease the sweetness maybe 170g would be better 3. Make sure to whisk the sugar egg and butter mixture properly to have a smooth batter. I didn't do this and only noticed when all the ingredients were mixed together so I used a rubber spatula to crush the sugar against the sides of the bowl and it worked a bit. 4. My mom asked me to add almonds on top so we did and they tasted amazing Thank you for this wonderful recipe it was so fudgy and delicious!

@SunnahTaqwa 3 жыл бұрын
Hi tina, thanks so much for the tips! When u used 150g and felt it was too much, do you mean the reduction was too drastic and we should use 170g? Or that even with 150g you felt they were too sweet and perhaps we can use even lesser? Also, can you please share the size of your baking dish, and the time + temp you baked at? I'm worried because lots of folks are saying they were WAY too liquidy. Thanks so much!
@tinaong4422
@tinaong4422 3 жыл бұрын
@@SunnahTaqwa hello! I recommend 170g of sugar because 150g was too little sugar. It was a bit too bland at that point so more than 150 but less than 200. I don't remember how long I baked it but I just followed the recipe on how long and how high the temp is. I hope this helps!

First time making brownies from scratch, and let me tell ya, I'm never using box mix again!! This was so rich and velvety. I used an 8 by 8and the 6 slices were THICK, and really dark. I used a 22% fat cocoa powder, made this extra delicious. I did cut the amount of white sugar in half, and I'm glad I did. Would have been too sweet if I didn't. You can add so many things to this, but it's lovely on its own, with a scoop of vanilla.

These look fabulous - going to make them soon. I hear ya on the ice cold work top. When getting ready to knead bread dough or something that would be better on a warmer surface I heat 2 pots of water and leave them on the surface, moving them around to cover the workspace I need. I used to use a heating pad but when it wore out I changed to the hot pots. For a bowl or something, I use a folded kitchen towel. Works for me...

This is a pretty good Brownie recipe, though if anyone isn't as much of a sweet tooth I recommend skipping the chocolate chips and using only half or a quarter of the sugar. I didn't use as much sugar as the video said to use nor did I use any extra chocolate chips/chunks, but it was the sweetest piece of pastry I have ever tasted; pretty good, but it feels like I'm overdosing on sugar. However, the recipe is simple to follow and I love the texture of the end result.
