Not bad. City driving my 523 gets at around 6-7km/l. Thats with traffic. Same as my 2.0 subaru turbo

You could probably squeeze more mileage by ensuring no vac leaks, rebuild/clean injectors, new oe maf sensors.

I’m curious because I kinda want to switch from a civic ek to a e36 how are the parts and maintenance for a e36?

Parts are a bit more expensive but still reasonable. If you're building a Civic on a budget, the Civic will be cheaper. Pero if you're building a proper Civic, then it'll probably be the same costs. Though BMWs will be cheaper than building JDM RWD cars.

8km/l is gooooooooood for a 6cyl. I bet you could get close or maybe beat the b18's consumption on a long 100kph cruise on the expressway My Z3 1.9 4cyl manual does 10km/l on a day like that (60kph cruising on a light traffic day) 7-6km/l on a bad traffic day 12km/l on expressways (85kph lang, gears are a bit short, staying up on revs can be annoying) 14.8km/l is my top score cruising at 75kmh and doing some light hypermiling on the expressways Never tried calculating on track days lmao who does that but now im curious '89 Lancer 1.5 8 valve carb 8km/l on a 60kmh light traffic day 7km/l on bad traffic days 9km/l doing 80kmh on the expressway
