thank for the video , if anyone's interested I just changed ours no need to active test purge . I just filled up new filter let it stand for 5mins. topped up / fitted filer head and added a drop more fuel until I could see it dribble out the inlet pipe/ refitted and started straight up no problems. very important to keep everything clean . hope this helps others.

Did this job the other day. Dont need to fill the fuel filter or go through diagnostics, turn the key to ignition a few times and it will start up no problem. The car has a self priming fuel pump.

Hi, I'm wondering if you might know if there are other diagnostic tools out there that can do the same? Of course HDS, but that is not available for me.

Autel, Snap-on, Foxwell etc, all you need is to have actuation test

Hi with my Tucson when I'm slowing down on the brakes and as soon as I press the clutch the engine makes a rev would this be anything to do with my fuel filter. Thanks great video 👍

Are any of the sensors on the fuel filter the fuel temp sensor

the fuel pump will turn on when there is signal coming from the crankshaft

Can I pull the fuel through the lines and manually and fill the fuel filter canister?

Yes, you could, but you would still have to crank a bit.

hi, this video is perfect and very useful, I need to change it but I don't have a computer, if I change the filter and fill it with diesel it still starts?

@alexalex954 you can bypass relay and make the pump running. If you look into the engine room fuse panel you should find a picture of a fuel pump relay.

@@GicaPhp thanks for the reply, but if I don't touch the relay the car won't start? or can I access the car and go to the mechanic to bleed it? It's a 2017 Tucson.

@@alexalex954 the car will not start, and it will take a long time to crank until it fills the filter. This will cause the high pressure fuel pun#mp to run dry, and it can damage it.
