Who made these garbage petcocks? My Original part on a med duty residential Generac lasted about 3 years and then crumbled into dust. Chinese pot metal handle? of course I just filled my tank when it broke! Fuel lines are like wood also. Garbage parts and near criminal as they are a fire safety concern. Rant over Thanks Generator Guru for the How to video Ill be installing my new replacement part soon.- Sandy

I have a cpe 2000 gas inverter I ordered a petcock valve and it was the wrong size mines of a 19mm hex nut the one I ordered was 22mm I’m having a hard for the 19mm not sure what the thread size is any help?

Hi Manny We do have a petcock with a 19mm hex but I've not come across it on an inverter generator before, can you send us a photograph of the original, I just want to check it is the same?

I have an older Cambell Hausfeld 5000w generator, fuel leaking from the bottom of the plastic tank shut off valve. The valve is black plastic with a red turn knob. All my search shows this is obsolete part. Do you know of a replacement available? Model #GN501200AC.

Can i replace a carburetor with a solenoid for a regular carb on a titan 8000 generator?

Hi there Yes, you can, this simply means that your generator has a simpler low oil shutdown mechanism by just shutting off the spark rather than the spark and fuel. You can simply wrap the solenoid wires around the bowl of the carb or cut the wires but do not remove the solenoid as fuel will flow from the bowl bolt

My Gp5500 does not drain the fuel properly....I disconnected the small fuel line from fuel filter and it literally drips with the generator on an angle. Also it runs for 10secs and shuts off! Can this be a bad fuel valve petcock?

That's exactly what it was after purchasing and replacing from generator guru parts new fuel filter, valve petcock with new fuel lines my generator is running like a champ! Thanks again!
