Just found your video, very helpful. I am planning on making a long open sea passage for a boat I have purchased. Clearly history of tanks unknown so will be replacing the existing filter assembly with two of these units you have shown with valves so I can switch between on the fly in case I have an issue. I very much like your set up and will with some plumbing and additional valves arrange a tank polishing set up using the onboard filters. I like the priming bulb but see the restriction it makes. Again albeit with some complexity a couple valves and bypass hose would resolve that. The bulb I see of great advantage when you get air in the system. The fun is in the making of this polishing system, much thanks for the inspiration.

Those pumps are meant to flow vertically upwards (helps bubbles etc purge out). Also, secure them onto a piece of rubber (not hard mounted) and most of the noise will stop.

Thank you very informative. I’m having fuel issues and have to polish my fuel, i noticed on my 2 micron racors a bit of slime on the top which cuts off the fuel flow. It would really help if you had a list of the products used so i and others could do a screen shot

so this polishing should be done once a season? or whenever you get bad fuel?
