"AcKsHuaLLy the Executor is Vader's Super Star Destroyer, not the smuggling ship!1!!1" I always liked this level as a youngster. Blowing up DF's equivalent of barrels is always fun, and the presence of both Imperial troops and criminal goons adds to the atmosphere.

The design in this game is, though low resolution, super detailed and intricate! They actually spent time.

11:10 THANK YOU! THANK YOU! THANK YOU! I was super confused about what the hell that console did and felt I needed to align the red lines with the top part that was circled. When it didn't happen and I could do it multiple times I felt like I was doing something incorrectly or had to backtrack. With the remastered version available on PS5, PS4, Xbox series X & S, Nintendo Switch, I've been playing this game for the first time ever. I grew up with all the other Jedi Knight games but could never play the original cuz I couldn't find it back in the day.

The Katarns are also featured on Kashyyyk in Kotor 1. Also, there are armors that go by the same name, which were worn by Clone Troopers and Clone Commandos (My fav' armors).

I like how those decorations also have the red, blue and green lights to create the hologram like if they are using current earth tech and not some fancy sci fi tech

4:08: they're dead cause half the time a Trando will see you through a window and start shooting, blowing up the fuel cells and killing them all lol. It's quite funny to trigger it. 5:06: "the most difficult part of the level" is why this was actually my least favorite level growing up. I could never get the timing down properly, it was only when I got older I could pull it off. That being said, I could have tolerated that if they didn't have enemies respawning! Get rid of the respawning enemies and I will play this! Another thing I'm surprised you didn't comment on was Kyle's "dark side" comment. He references it while meeting 8t88 in Jedi Knight's opening cutscene ("The dark side? I've been there. Do your worst!""

Used to a avoid this game at all costs due to the graphics but now that I'm older and poorer I can't get enough of this fucking game

I finally played through this game recently, and tbh it's aged really well. I actually think it's a lot better than Jedi Outcast, although the lightsaber combat is defiantly missing.

The door at 13:40 won't open for me.

I always thought it was weird how the death animation of the stormtroopers changes on this level. Normally, when they die, they do this little "hop" and then land on their back (it's very quick of course). Later, they do this strange animation like they are laying down when they die (you have to look closely). The dead stormtrooper sprite remains the same, it's the animation between getting shot and dying that changes. I noticed it at 12:40 and remembered this from back when I first played the game in 1996. Please tell me I'm not crazy... Additionally, the first time I killed an enemy with the exploding fuel cells and watched them go flying, my 12 year-old ass was laughing hard.

Not to be nitpicky, because I know this one is a bit of a weird one, but the name of the Executor is pronounced the way you'd say "executive". The word "executor" often gets mistakenly used when the word people are really thinking of is "executioner", so it's really no surprise that it gets pronounced that way. So there you go, a bit of English language trivia. It actually has a few meanings in law and computing, but really just means "a person who carries out a task".

Loved this level when I was young, even if tough as nails and annoying jumps with circular bridge but the level design still just as amazing back then as it is now, shame near the end of play through, wish they had released more official levels for this game though - such an advanced game engine at the time

Kyle as a common proper noun put as a name of a boy actually means 1,000 in Greek (kilo.)

Anyone who's here because of that one door at 13:32 not being open- and if you're playing with The Force Engine - try turning on v-sync so it limits your framerate, or just generally using a frame limiter might just work.

It annoyed the F outta me I watched the older videos here and playing on remastered... the platform switcher at the top is OPPOSITE. going back and forth was rage inducing.
