Fuelling the Future: Alex Newhook, NHL Draft prospect

In the history of the NHL draft only four players from Newfoundland have ever gone in the first round, Alex Newhook has the chance to become the fifth and he can thank the rest of Canada for that.

This was one of the guys Ottawa was looking at, along with Soderstrom, Suzuki, and Seider. Those were the top propects in conversation.

Probably not but you know who will? Seider ;) that's the main man were looking at. A big 6'4 german right handed defenceman with a wicked shot and good skating ability.

The Avs have him on the tax squad. Bednar mentioned Alex will be playing in one of the remaining games. I would say the Kings. I wonder what his opinion is playing on the same team as MacKinnon, Rantanen, Makar and others.

With Kadri gone, I'm hoping Newhook would take the next step and fill in the top 6 role so Colorado doesnt have to overpay for a veteran.
