A very good harvest and good food indeed! I saw red perilla yesterday but I didn’t quite know how to use it. I'm going to get my frozen durian fix tomorrow and I will try the red perilla if it's available. Turkish sour green plums would make good preserved salted plums but it's expansive and not readily available. The tender shoots of bitter melon is delicious in noodle soup or a stir fry. Some varieties are nicer than others.
