More vintage lens reviews would be great!

In my opinion Fujis f2 lenses are underrated, they have their own character, and their size and weight are unbeatable!

Hey Radu, always nice to see and hear you. As an almost exclusively manual focus shooter (on Sony), when considering Fuji, I always fear that I will end up hating manually focusing with Fuji lenses (and don't find it attractive to adapt vintage glass to Fuji either). What is your experience? How is the manual focus experience on your Fuji lenses? Cheers

Speaking of condensation, all you need to do is keep the camera inside its bag for a couple of hours when you enter a warm (home) environment after spending time outside in cold weather (when the difference is bigger than 10-15 C). Never bring it home outside of its bag, or without a bag at all, and don't enter warm stores, shopping malls, buses etc. without isolating the camera as well. No weather sealing will help you with this, which eventually may and will cause fungus to appear, and maybe some electronics to die too. But this goes for any sensitive equipment. That's why I cringe whenever I see how, for example, C. Frost unboxes lenses sent to him for reviews in front of the camera, with obvious heavy condensation on them (visible wherever he touches a lens). I guess he doesn't care because he'll return the lenses (so he opens the box as soon as he receives the package), or he doesn't know better. In any case, we better take care of our own stuff.

Hi. I have the X T3 for about 2yrs, bought used but in very good condition. I initially thought it was comfortable to hold but after extended use, i felt the need to get the battery grip which makes it a heavier set up but much more comfortable to hold for long periods. The only problem is the camera is much bigger with the battery grip and doesn't fit easily into the camera bag. I refuse to buy another camera bag. I like your videos and their extended nature. Viltrox will get you f1.4/f1.2 at half the price of Fuji.

Legat de ergonomie, Sony intotdeauna au fost praf, ignorand-o cu desavarsire, mai ales in ceea ce priveste forma gripului. Insa de la a7 III incolo, treaba s-a schimbat un pic, iar de la a7 IV si mai noi, s-a schimbat si mai mult. Insa, chiar si asa, desi cele de la a7 IV incoace (a7R IV, a7S III, a7R V etc.) stau bine in mana, tot e cam tare materialul de la grip, iar forma face sa-ti apara basica la deget, dupa folosirea indelungata (zi intreaga) cu un obiectiv de 1 kg sau mai mult. Si la ultimele au facut upgrade considerabil si la meniu si la tot ce apare pe ecran (acum absolut totul e touch, ba chiar la cele mai recente modele, poti, ca si la Canon, sa apesi pe valoarea diafragmei, timpului de expunere etc., pe ecran, si sa-l modifici din touch). Iar de la a7 IV incoace a disparut problema (care era notorie si pe a7 III, care are gripul doar un pic mai mare decat a7 II, desi are noua baterie, mare) cu degetele blocate intre grip si obiectiv (mai ales cu 70-200 2.8 GM era dezastru, dar cu multe). Iarasi, faptul ca de la a7 III toate full frame-urile au bateria mare FZ100 (capacitate mai mult decat dubla, fata de micuta FW50), iarasi e o modificare substantiala, care se traduce printr-un confort sporit in utilizare, minimizand grija ca ramai fara "juice". La capitolul asta, Canon cred ca e regele, pur si simplu are un grip organic la aparatele de top (R6, R6 II, R5 etc.), meniurile sunt usor de navigat. Doar ca butoanele nu sunt la fel de ultra-configurabile ca la Sony, ci sunt mai putine optiuni din care poti alege, iar unele butoane au setul de optiuni si mai limitat. Nikon iarasi e foarte ok, poate doar un pic sub Canon, idem pentru Panasonic. La Fujifilm (in afara de X-S10, X-S20 si altele) problema e cu gripul, care e stil rangefinder, si unde trebuie sa folosesti o extensie de grip pe unele modele, daca trebuie sa pui obiective grele. Pe de alta parte, e bine ca au joystick si pe modele foarte jos in gama. De asemenea, a7 II si a7R II sunt ultimele camere full frame de la Sony la care autofocusul e mediocru (in perioada aia, APS-C-urile, precum a6000, apoi a6300) rupeau pe autofocus, si sunt si acum ok, dar full frame-urile... Cand a aparut a7 III, a rupt piata cu autofocusul. Ira a7 IV a imbunatatit suplimentar, iar ultima implementare este "subject detection cu human pose estimation / AI", care e pe a6700, ZV-E1, a7R V, si pe ieri-lansatele a7C II si a7CR. Astea iarasi, desi si Canon e pe aproape, pun Sony-ul pe un confortabil loc intai, daca e nevoie sa fie aproape perfect autofocusul. Pe de alta parte, nici Fujifilm n-a stat degeaba, iar X-H2s, X-H2, X-T5, X-S20 au si ele ultima generatie. Dar acum depinde de fiecare ce are nevoie, pentru ca la subiecte statice sau care se misca usor nu e nevoie de autofocus care sa rupa. Dar daca tragi sport de intensitate mare, cu miscari haotice, pasari in zbor si multe altele (unde conteaza mult si obiectivul), atunci un autofocus excelent iti obtine mai multe cadre clare.
