Bob and Frederik go to the abandoned cities of Fukushima to see the aftermath of the terrible disaster that happened on march 11, 2011.
An 9.0 earthquake caused huge tsunami waves which caused a nuclear fallout. Over 200.000 people fled and most of them never came back...
In this series we explore abandoned supermarkets, stores, pachinko halls, schools, houses, garages with cars, etc.

Just recently discovered your chanel. Great videos. Good picture quality, editing... Good spirit! I wanted to ask you, what did your geiger counter indicate? Do you carry it around when you go to other abandoned places such as submarines, industrial sites, military bases....? Could you also make the English subtitles appear smaller on the screen please? Thanks a lot!

The simple answer is that USA is police of the world . They control everything . They also provide army protection for Japan. They basically holding Japan with knife on the throat and it's real. As you can see there is a little example of USA influence on Japan . I mean like WTF English words are doing here is Japan, it's not USA but Japan!! In France it's impossible to see , in Russia too .
@Tempestan
@Tempestan 6 жыл бұрын
You do remember a lil thing called World War 2? Japan, who lost the war they started with the USA, signed the Articles of Surrender. The reason why they teach English is part of that along with their disarming the entire country, except for a small defense force, we took on the role of being their armed forces. Lately the US has been pushing Japan to re-arm and take a more central role in defending themselves instead of relying on the US to do it for them.

Jean-Paul Wijnands There are a few problems. One is the stubborn stigma about radiation. The belief by many that if you get it on you it acts like a virus 'infecting other people with radiation'. This created thousands of unwanted pariahs out of the refugees from these cities. The second problem is similar to the first one. The belief that being close to death (or death causing effects) = tainted spirit. This also acts to compound the tragedy because refugees fleeing the areas are not only seen as being unhealthy to the body to be around but the soul to be around as well. And this goes back to the areas. Nobody is going to want to go in there and clean up. Ever. Because if somebody found out you went near these places you would be instantly assessed as a threat by your peers. A social outcast with a stigma that would never wash off.

I think they were more concerned about peoples information being stolen or privacy being violated. Products like that would have a hard time going back into the economy there with all there strict testing and tax codes. If they are preventing looting the police are really protecting the looter more then anything cause touching this stuff or eating it would cause you to become sick and die slowly.

Test me Bob... ;) We did NOT wear suits, gasmasks and act like it was dangerous if it was not needed. We wore protective suits and gasmasks as you can see in other episodes. This was shot in the so called green zone. And inside a building you won't find radiation unless the building is damaged and windows/walls are broken. (So particles can get inside)

Yeah, the police aren't helping the tourism market. Foreigners get pulled over and checked, just for being foreign. While I could understand someone calling them for checking out cars in an abandoned lot (possible looting/carjacking paranoia), repeatedly pulling over is obsessive. The only reasonable reason would be driving _weird_ (too slow, close, weaving). Perhaps Japan has a human trafficking problem/scare we don't know, so they're checking on everything unusual?
