It's so good! I never really jumped into KI until the recent update, but I have been listening to the soundtrack for the last 10 years.

I've had the entire soundtrack added to my playlists for so long now. Every song is fantastic

This and 3S are my favorite games to watch him play

Let me tell you, being an 80s kid growing up in the 90s, hearing the original in the arcade was awesome cause it was louder than the jukebox only thing louder than it was 10 lanes going at the same time at the bowling alley

As a fellow playstation user,the sound design in this game is probably only met by mortal kombat tbh.

@XxImStarvingxX Unfortunately, for me, Mortal Kombat just isn't interesting for me to watch or play. It just feels too slow for me. Tekken is my preference, but then again, I've been playing since Tekken 3.

@ExperimentalProfessor yeah tbh mk really is a lot slower than most other games,especially if you compare it to something as fluid as tekken,but the sound design is really good,take for example the impact of Jax's metal arms.

@@ExperimentalProfessor Bingo MK 10 for me was dull as hell I'ver tried but the combos suck, the fighting has changed too much over the years I love KI but I'm not good at fighters Was great on the first one back in the day But not any more

Rash is basically the same from what I've seen. He still plays the exact same way, he's just the slightest bit less effective than before.

I'm not sure how much experience he has with those two. The top 5 all got nerfed but they're still all great characters. The point was to tone down what was way overturned about them (especially Rash, good lord, lol) so now they're hopefully more fun to fight against, and perhaps a few matchups aren't so one-sided anymore.

Old game still rules by the way. I just picked it up last week and it's so much fun.

The tldr after the bring back killer instinct campaign where I think it was Phill Spencer said they want the perfect team and they just don't have it at the moment

So, all characters in KI have an instinct meter that lets them do a unique install. If TJ saves his, after he loses his second life bar he can revive with 15% hp.

It is. If TJ still has meter, Instinct, I think. He can get back up after being KOed.

His instinct power does that IIRC, maybe the Orange bar next to the name has to be full for it to happen?

The yellow meter is the instinct gauge which is like a comeback mechanic for the game that builds up when getting hit or doing combo breakers. Each character has their own unique take on it and one of TJ's is to get back up after essentially being dead, so long he has a full bar when it happens. You could also use it to cancel out of doing something and/or extend a combo.

Visually it's pretty much the same, they weren't about to overhaul the graphics lol. Mostly just runs better.

The same reason no one does fatalities on mortal kombat online, you don't want to waste the other person's or your own. Secondly is not to rub the victory in their face.

im not happy with the changes to fugore either. he was my main for the entire lifespan of the game, but that tp was definitely not slow, you could do them into themselves near limitlessly. i would have liked to see them limit the tp to just two repetitions and keep the old speed

This is the patch

Fulgore is (one of) the best momentum character(s) in the game. The nerfs made it harder for him to just open people up for free, or approach completely safe. This all means that max is getting fewer long combos which ramp up the reactor, and getting hit more between combos which lowers the spin speed on the reactor.

Light medium heavy for punches and kicks. there is a bind for all punches or all kicks, it’s super easy to learn and there is good tutorials in game. Combo breakers are executed by pressing both punch and kick of selected strength. Example, if they heavy attack, you break with hk+hp. And when you know they are going to break your combo, you counter break during your own combo, giving you your turn back and more damage for that combo. It sounds very complicated but in practice it’s the easiest fighting game I’ve played besides maybe Naruto.

Well if nothing else the update has made more people revisit if not just get KI, so should be more players in the pool, though can't confirm that's the case for Xbox I'd be surprised if not.

Arbiter has in KI for the better part of 10 years, dingus.

He has plasma grenades and ammo. Very fun to play

I've only joined the FGC as of SF6, so I cannot say that I have any fore knowledge of these older games. I'm not against getting into them, as I also want to go and learn BBCF, and GGXrd, but I'm definitely not familiar with KI outside of ultra combo/combo breaker voice clips. And now I'm ready to get my ass beat into the dirt in KI@@asura5806

huh? that thing is quite literally the best oki tool in the game. ppl really still think damage = might and therefore good.
