If you can't take the criticism then just avoid comment sections about this album. I'm sure this won't be the last you'll see of people disappointed with this album. From what I see people are very calmly offering actual criticisms of what they didn't like, not blindly just trashing them or "whining". Fans are allowed to provide feedback and let the company decide what to do with it. They want to experiment, that's fine. Fans don't have to like the experiment results. There's a fine line to walk between changing it up and still staying consistent, and I don't think anyone is faulting them for trying someone different. People who like this style will still like it even if they didn't expect it to come from Dreamcatcher. People who don't like it won't like it even if they view it in isolation from their previous work. I really don't think comparison with older albums changes anything.

I also have my own opinions about each song and the album as a whole, I like one song more like the other, thats only natural. But with time you just start to notice when they are just complaining and whining bc this thing of "oh no they are becoming too mainstream and leaving their old sound/concept behind cuz this doesn't sound like them from the past !!" has been going on for so long... and in every comeback (trust me they do fault them for that) so I'm soooo sorry for being pissed ig

@@mcelestg complaining it doesn't sound Dreamcatcher enough isn't trashing. Everyone has different lines drawn on what they feel sounds Dreamcatcher vs. not and I think each comeback a different group of people will feel the change is too much, rather than the same group of people every time saying it. I know it feels repetitive to see that comment every comeback, but that's the nature of it as their sound continues to evolve

As I've seen some comments elsewhere about OOTD, looks like it's a satire on the beauty/kpop industry. The aesthetics and visuals are STUNNING, however, the song is not dreamcatcher-y as it could be. Rising is more on that alley. OOTD could be performed by other groups. Kinda feels like they are aiming for more popularity.

You just spelled out what makes it Dreamcatcher-y: the intelligent and timely lyrics. And honestly, the attitude of the song is perfectly Dreamcatcher. I know you didn't say this specifically, but it's not a generic girl boss song, IMO. 'We Are Young' also gives me 'Fairytale' vibes just because of how unabashedly optimistic it is. I could go on, but this is still Dreamcatcher to me at least.

My top songs from DREAMCATCHER VillainS album 1- We Are Young (OMG I didn't think I would like this song so much but it's perfect, it just won me over) 2- Rising (The vocals and instrumentals are all so perfect) 3- OOTD (The chorus won't leave my head) 4- Shatter ( It's cool, but it didn't really win me over )

OOTD disappointed me but the rest made up for it i would rank it this way: 1: Rising 2: Because we are young 3: Shatter 4: INTRO 5: OOTD

I prefer melodic songs so the album is not my favorite one. Intro : Great, but maybe I would preferred without the lyrics/talked part 🤔 OOTD : it doesn't sound like my cup of tea, I'm not fond of the chorus anti-drop (it feels like "I love my body" from Hwasa). On the 2nd and 3rd listen I like it a bit more, but still the "OOTD this my fashion..." with less instrumental is what I don't like (it's not a no-no but it kills the mood imo). I do not like how the song is ending. However I can still hear the DC touch and the bridge was very pleasing to listen to. I also like the part where Yoohyeon sings "Rise...So High". Anyway not my favorite DC track but it will stay in mind for sure. Rising : I saw a lot of people saying this gonna be their favorite track so I was anticipating a lot. It's indeed a great one, I think my favorite of the album. No much to say, it rocks ! Reminds me of old ONE OK ROCK songs somehow Shatter : I love the verse, pre-chorus, bridge but less the repetitive chorus and the "bang bang" stuff. It kills the sensual mood somehow We are young : Reminds me of Can't get you out of my mind. It's not bad, but not something I would listen a lot. Sounds pretty basic to me. Second listen : it feels kinda nostalgic ! Feels like sports anthem lol Overall a great album that is very different from what they did before, but I understand why some people can call OOTD mainstream. It's more K-POPish than usual DC sound 🤔

For me we are young is my fav but not to casually listen but for like a dc concert. But yeah ootd is vey mainstream it’s like giving baddie vibes from Ive. And I also don’t like the anti drops it’s like not fulfilling the song to continue to be good 😭 I think Dreamcatcher’s company was trying to make a mainstream song to what’s popular now and possibly to make us get used to a different sound of one day Dreamcatcher disbands and they bring in a new group with a mainstream sound.

I'm sure there are people who eat this up, but this is not the Dreamcatcher that I have grown to love. A couple of songs have potential, but it's ultimately wasted. OOTD is just bad. Very disappointing. I'm just going to pretend that this album doesn't exist.

My only complaint is the english pronunciation in most of the songs ,I’m a hardcore insomnia but i hate it when they use too much english while knowing that their pronunciation is not the best which kinda sabotages the songs .

To be honest, it could have been better...the title track is like black pink vibe or some girly band would do to prove their vibe, nothing like I oppose them trying different genres, but I would like to stick their genre rock...and stick to the story... but ' rising and shatter ' are great, rising could have been more the title with few modification.

Hm. I feel like for every track of this album there is a similar better song by Dreamcatcher on another album. Also I hate the talk singing and I feel like the 'ri ri rise' is just a lazy chorus lyric wise and kind of annoying. Imma be honest with you, Dreamcatcher has a songwriting problem these days. Maybe the members should get involved with the process again or maybe they should get new songwriters/producers. Bonvoyage was a great song but apart from that I feel like things have been just a bit lower in quality than they used to be. Every single comeback and album/mini album until Odd Eye was perfection. Now they are just good. It's a bit sad.

I completely disagree with you..i really like their recent works compare to their earlier stuff..big fan of apocalypse from us..maison, bonvoyage, because, etc are some of my favs..clearly dc trying something different with their newer sounds, blending with something new..especially this album..i prefer this compared to anime jrock style which i find boring to listen to over and over

@@enciksharul3188 yeah, for some reasons edenary joined writing for dc now. mb due to leez being one of the unofficial members of edenary earlier on and company needed to find someone close to his writing.

This album is such a disappointment. This doesn't feel like DC at all. The intro is fine for what it is. OOTD feels like it could be any kpop group song, not DC's. I'm fine with them experimenting but for a title track it it lackluster. I could let it go if it was just a B-side, but we've got better title tracks before. Where is DC signature? Rising and Shatter sounds unfinished, couldn't they bother to make a proper chorus? It feels so rush. We are young... Sounds dated...and see previous comment. Anyway, like i said, i am so utterly disappointed, i couldn't be more disappointed.
