Thanks for your content. I really enjoyed this video. You mentioned the porthole hardtop. A company named Drag City Castings makes one in resin. I don't have this piece from them, but I have purchased other pieces from them and their quality and service is top notch.

Beautiful and well done. If it weren't for the less than attractive body line paint it would have been an A+....To each his own though

A very nice build. The body looks great, especially in that color. You've built a very impressive model, one to be proud of. A good job Louie! 👍

I'm really digging the color. In the beginning of this video You referred to the uptops round side windows. They're called the opera windows and I think they were an option for the removable hardtop. You couldn't get them for a canvas top in my knowledge. I think I want... need this kit just because of the wheel options. And it's a sweet looking kit too.

Nice job, love the color! It's hard to complain when they put 3 sets of chrome wheels in the kit, but I so wish they would tool up some Kelsey-Hayes wire wheels. They would really make this bird sing! Cheers....:)

Nice kit, I finished mine earlier this month. I did have trouble getting the clear windshield to fit the chrome frame. Had to trim the "glass" to fit. I painted the chrome motor in Ford engine blue. The nonplated engine just didn't seem complete enough to work. My paint scheme is Tamiya gloss red spray body and red/white twotone interior.

Great job Louie! 👍👍The color looks like the original Ford "Coral Sand". 👌I´ll do mine in "Gunmetal Gray" with a dark red interior.

Really sharp Thunderbird ! Thanks for sharing the small fitment issues with the front bumper, I've ordered this kit and I'll try to remember that there's a clearance issue. 🍻

The only year that roof without the port hole was used was 1955 , don't know why they put it in the 57 kit . Great build !!

Great looking build! I was lucky enough to score what looks like the first release run of this kit. Partially built and butchered, at first I said I was going to use all of the custom parts to build the ugliest period-custom glue bomb that I could, but as the build goes on, I use more and more of the stock parts. Guess I'm getting old, I just can't do it; its such a pretty car stock.

Third looks great, nice job accenting the door and trunk lines.

Louie! This is a great build! 2 questions here: Where did you get that Krylon Coral spray paint? I don't think Wal Mart carries it. Secondly, you didn't give a quick over on the instruction sheet so I wondered if there was an optional dual quad set up???
@TheAutisticModeler9 ай бұрын
No, it only has a single molded on the intake carburetor.

I did get the paint at Walmart, but it was on clearance for $1.00, so I’m pretty sure it’s discontinued.

How do you get such nice finishes with the hardware store paint? I’ve been using Rust-Oleum 2X and just can’t seem to get jt

What's that red thing-ama-gig you painted on the driver's side inner tube? The only queef i have is take some minael-spirits and tone down those door jams / skerts / & trunk 😮

agree; panel line use is getting too excessive by too many modelers
@rayrussell62589 ай бұрын
I'm finding the use of panel line on door gaps, trunks, and other things like seats, is DETRACTING from the finished model. It looks dirty and uneven/rough/ragged. Deepening those lines with sharp tools before painting is better, so the paint doesn't fill the gaps.
@vincentlussier82649 ай бұрын
Very nice build. The color isn't for me though and you went a little heavy with the black accent lines!
