The fact that a 15 year old is practically carrying a team of mostly adult players and elite prospects is mind boggling

If I'm running an NHL franchise, I'm signing Taylor Hall through 2024 just so I have a shot at drafting Bedard in 2023.

I bet this kid wins a few Rocket Richards in the NHL. He has the best wrist shot I've ever seen from someone his age. The WHL's in trouble over the next 2 years he's gonna be on another level!

I love the way this guy says "scores". A very good commentator for juniors, usually most below the NHL are painful to listen to

his ability to start and finish plays is just unmatched at his level

To give context, McDavid was barely over a point per game in his 15 year old season, Bedard is a touch below 2 points a game.

Never seen a prospect play this well at this age before in the last many years, none of the other exceptional status players even mcdavid played this well at 15. At 15 Mcdavid has 66 points in 63 games, Bedard scores 28 in 15 games.

That curl and drag shot looks very similar to Matthews. Plus he's got the speed and hands, this kid is gonna be special.

He is unreal. I still cannot believe that a 15 year old (at the time, he's now 16) won Rookie of the Year, and dominated as if he were a 19 year old playing his final year of junior hockey. This kid is only getting started, and he already looks like Patrick Kane, and Kane is one of the best. So, he is something to watch for sure. I wouldn't be surprised if, given a full year, he can pull off a 70-70 season at least once. Also let's not forget Wright is next year's consensus #1 pick, and he's more like a Stamkos player. He might not be flashy, but he can sure as hell shoot the puck, and play good defense. Canadian hockey is looking good as usual. Seems like the gap between generational talents is shrinking, as the prospects get better and better more frequently and regularly.

What an explosive player! That wrist shot has some Phil Kessel sauce on it.. I can't figure out who he reminds me of but when he skates in space he reminds me alot of Bryan Rust.. quick hands and elite vision

if this kid gets a better stride to his skating and makes his skating elite-level and top-tier, this kid is gonna be DANGEROUS dangerous. no goalie is gonna wanna see a kid with Nathan MacKinnon type skating and the shot of someone like Ovi or Matthews coming in on them on a breakaway... regardless of his skating, this kid has TALENT. Cant wait to see what he develops into

He should because he will also be able to play the following year and the experience will make him that much better for 2023. Plus he can contribute points now. Question is will he be a risk in the D zone?

Knowing their trajectory, he’s probably going to the flames.

Obviously he has great vision, but I expected a more powerful and clean stride. He skates pretty wonky for higher level play. Skating and quick thinking are the two things that prevent translating skill to higher levels. Luckily he has the harder one to lean under his belt. Needs to be hungry and work for it.
