Standing slide: it is possible to have the game think you are in a crouching / sliding state while actually having the standing hitbox, and releasing your crouch key makes you gain a small amount of height, letting you make higher jumps. two things are required to set one up: A. you must be on the ground or about to land B. you must have enough speed to slide (instead of crouch) once you have both of those you can tap and release your crouch key, then hold your crouch key. if you did it correctly, you'll be sliding and have the standing hitbox. later, you can release the crouch key to gain height and make a jump that's normally too high. you do not need to be on the ground for the quick crouch tap, but you do have the be on the ground for the last tap where you hold. Setups: slide (to gain enough speed), release, tap, slide. this can be useful if you don't want to leave the ground, but it's not a very fast setup. jump, tap before landing, then hold. this is a good amount faster than the previous and is useable in place of it most of the time. perform a first standing slide, release to make a high jump, then tap again on the new surface. the release and then tap are enough to let you start another standing slide immediately. tap crouch before doing a wallslide (or just slide on a regular slope). you gain the speed of a wallslide and can later make a high jump. there is a use for this in blueline, in the area with the platform just too high to reach, if you drop down and do this setup, you can get up to that platform and probably lose anybody who is chasing you.
