Many years agoI bought a one dollar DVD that showed Ian building a Rat Rod for a Hot Rod event that was happening in like 72 hours from time he was starting it. He was this young builder living in a bus behind his shop. I had no idea what became of him until now. Glad to see he's doing well.

The Lincoln is my favorite by far! It contains the elements of the lead sled ‘up in smoke’ era (the sound track kept running through my head😜) but it goes over the top on fit, finish and over all sleekness. It is a real post modern classic beauty. Thank god detroit back in the day had the guts to build the raw material that Ian then took to two levels above the next level! 👍👍

Ian, before you said you would add a upper chrome piece on the purple Merc I told myself I would finish the grill with a upper chrome piece. Victor is also a creative genius like you. Loved the episode with the tail light confusion for the Rivera.

I couldn't even account for how many years it's been but. When I was a kid, I found some dvds at PepBoys. One was a leadsled the other was a hotrod/ratrod dvd. You never found something like this. I was HOOKED. Fast forward several years and I find this guy on tv and then down the road, on streaming. I've been a fan ever since! You inspire me!!! Keep up the RADNESS.

Super video. Love the old Mercs. Oldsmobile also made a great looking "fastback" in the early 50s. Beautiful collection. I liked the buggy Victor used at his nursery. Very entertaining video y'all.

It is really nice to see that you guys have such a shared passion, and that you lift each other to new levels and challenges, the evolution is clearly visible. It must be nice to be able to see your work after so many years, it is quite rare to be honest. And it is a real tribute to the work from both of you. I would looooove to see an electrified version of the Mercury, with sparkling and high gloss dark grey paint and nice chrome trim that sits flush with the rest of the body all across the body. A chrome grill. And a light colored leather interior on the inside with modern digital gauges that look old school. And without any visible speakers 😁 but yet with all the modern day features. A modern suspension with air ride. A bit like the Maroon Mercury, but with a wider suspension even if it would be needed to open up the fenders, like how modern fenders close the gap between the wheels and the fenders. Anyway, a big 👍 and I am looking forward to the next tour!

I have recently acquired a 51 traditional radical merc .b÷n looking for the car for 5 years found it again October of 22 and made the deal . It is similar to the orange car but with old school interior . Orange is my favorite color, I would be honored to make a deal on the orange merc .the craftsman I got mine from was jonesin ' after he sold it to me and he and worked to make a deal to buy Ted D'orazi ' s " got it " merc the gene did and took to the 08 Detroit auto rama where gene got builder of the year. My friend has worked all winter preserving the got it merc and both of our cars are ready for the outdoor show season . I really love them all but I want that orange car !!!!
