Hi Chris! I work as a dentist. I would suggest removing grandma's denture at night so that her gums could rest. Also it could help lower the risk of gum inflammation and bacterial growth. God Bless and always stay safe!

When I watch your videos I keep thinking about my mom who passed away last year. She was 79; her body was small and fragile but she had a personality with which I struggled ever since I was a little girl. My mom and I fought frequently and quite intensely so it goes without saying we never had a good relationship and for my well-being, I distanced myself from her even though we lived in the same house. She slowly started needed more and more help and I was so absorbed in my day to day life and in my me wanting to protect emotionally from my mom that I didn't want to help her as often and when I did, I did it reluctantly and I sometimes had a bad attitude towards helping her myself. Still, she was always very well taken care of, even if I was upset about helping her, I always took her wherever she needed, when she needed it, no matter the time. Seeing you help your grandma makes me feel guilty about how I treated my mom. I wish I had a better relationship with her when it mattered so that in her final days I had taken better care of her, at least, emotionally. Before we rushed her to the hospital, I went to see my mom during my lunch hour at work, made some food for her, and combed her hair into a ponytail. Then, while at the hospital, I barely left her side, if only to go get some food and sleep myself. It was about 1 am when my dad called me on the phone telling us to go see Mom ASAP because the doctors said she wouldn't make it past the night. I held her hand for the full hour until she passed away. I guess I needed to let it out. Thanks for reading. And thank you for your videos.

I totally get what you are saying. It's ok - you did what you could do and that's ok. Had a similar thing with my mum. Because of her dementia and the fact she was in a home for the last four years (she needed 24hr care) which we visited regularly (weekly or more) I got the chance to have a different, better, relationship with her (which I appreciate not everyone gets to have). Like you was with her at the end. Please don't feel guilty - you did what you needed to do to protect yourself emotionally (I had to do the same when I was younger - my mum could be a challenging character). You were there when it counted and she would have known that and heard your voice.

Taking care of elders can be tough especially with those that have dementia and stuff like that. You did what you could and I’m sure your mother is very glad you took care of her, some people don’t do it because of their relationship and that’s also okay. Whatever you decide to do is what you think is the best (I’m sorry if some of these don’t make sense English isn’t my first language)

idk if anyone has mentioned this, but seeing the “lip pointing” you do with your grandma is so cool. we mexicans do it too, and it’s nice to see small little things that represent those similarities between us. also, the sheer dedication we have to our families no matter what. my mom travels states just to care for her father still, and MAN i admire it. keep it up, we’re all here supporting you and grandma! ✨💕

I used to do art videos and still have a channel. I gave it up when I started taking care of my dad. I like that you show your daily life and some of what you do to make your videos because most people don't know all the work that goes into research, buying reliable equipment, making content, editing, etc. You're pretty amazing that you have a well laid out routine -- taking care of Grandma, taking care of yourself with healthy food, exercise, your merch business, and doing videos -- wow! It's all a gift from Yahuah God. ☺🥰😇

It's incredibly healing to see these videos, both short and longform. Thank you for sharing your days and routines as banal as they may be to you. They bring me warmth and comfort. My father passed away a year ago, and I never had the strength to stay as his full-time caregiver. It eats at me often, though I try to remember that I was only 18-22 at the time, fresh out of high school, and burnt out. If only I had found you sooner.

People aren't useless. You don't need to put others down to lift Chris up. That's very rude. This is coming from someone in Chris's age group that works 55 hours a week. Every single living being is something to someone, regardless of how hard they work according to your rules.
