Well, you really can't solve the countries issues in a debate regardless of how long the debate answers last. The reality is that the issues can only be resolved with some old fashioned back room meetings that don't end up on social media, with some actual compromise from both sides. With the Trump and Biden debate, stopping them on the dot is needed because Trump is one to go on and on and on without stopping. With this debate, it's much more civilized so giving them time to finish their sentence after the 2 minute limit is important to get their point across...however, they do at times go on for too long which is rude.

With all that has gone on just this year to only have 2 mins is rediculs. It's just that way so they can have sound bits. Honestly a true political decision on what u want to do, what u have done and why the other party is bad could take hours and it used to. The hard truth is each of these should be 3 questions over the course of three hours with 20 mins to awnser uninterrupted then 10 min rebudle at the end of each person's turn. Have that formats for three debates with a total of nine questions three each debate and then we can get a real picture of what's going on. If you think that is a bit much then I guess voting for the next leader of the free world ain't that import to you then

You're right - Most of the conversation around Pence has been "Oh God, if Trump gets kicked out of office, we have to deal with an even more radical, LGBTQ-hating MIKE PENCE!" So "being talked about" isn't exactly a good thing. This Trump administration has convinced people that politicians being talked about is better than providing efficient results. That's why mentions his TV ratings so much (which is beyond stupid).
