RERA does not apply to existing owners even if the redevelopment process has RERA, however new flat buyers are covered by RERA As per the lawyers, the existing flat owners are land owners and not consumers

The only home financing company which does a through check of sellers ownership documents are SBI finance and LIC Housing Finance. I was saved from two dud purchases by LIC Housing Finance

*NOTE* : - Real estate(Real Scam) is a 2nd most corrupted sector in India now, and running towards 1st position to grab crown of most Bribed Industry. POV if your buying property from them you are paying the 100% premium(based on luxury they are providing in form of amenities) from it's actual price.
