Every two years, 24 of the best players from Europe and the United States go head-to-head in match play competition. The European Team are the reigning champions after winning at Marco Simone Golf & Country Club in 2023. Drama, tension, incredible golf, camaraderie and sportsmanship are served in equal measure, captivating an audience of millions around the world. It’s an event that transcends sport, yet remains true to the spirit of its founder, Samuel Ryder. The 2025 Ryder Cup is set to take place at Bethpage Black in New York.

Haven't watched the ryder cup in 20 years or so, it used to be a competitive competition yet friendly. Over the years it's turned into an almost blood sport on both sides of the pond!!

The best ive seen some of these players play. Justin Rose, Rory....they all had an amazing game. Unfortunately it was marred somewhat by a disrespectful caddie.

We must be watching different sports. 1 man dominated every player from Europe for a decade. Top 3 major winners…American. 4 out of 5 players that completed grand slam…American. Americans won 10 out of 17 fedex cups. Americans won more masters, pga championships and us opens in the last 10 years. Tied for open championship wins in last 10 years. Love some European golfers but your statement is absurd

Well, congrats to the Europeans for winning the 2023 Ryder Cup, but it was lost due to Zach Johnson's poor lineup choice in the first round of foursomes. He sent out the B-team and not the A-team. It was over before it even began.

No…they live over there because of the golf…they are their own people with their own nationality…so if you came over here for work would you become European or British..?? NO well neither do they… and their passion for their individual nationalities was evident all weekend…they are EUROPEANS and don’t you forget it…And not one of our team were whinging about not getting paid to play…we do it for the honour and pride of playing for our countries..But I can understand you trying to claim them ,……after all you’re home grown lot were SHITE… Have a nice day now….🤔🤣🤣🇬🇧

But it is less popular than in the US. An estimated pool of 25 million golfers in the US vs an estimated 10 million in Europe. Sounds like excuses and an American being a sore loser.

@@dnnyshdy5189if you count the seven countries those guys were actually from you get to half of the US population. And even if not, the US has over 25 Mio. golf players, Europe has not even 5 Mio. You will make up every excuse for not winning. Also why would you not get emotional over a game? All professional athletes and the fans do that of every other sport
