I am so cheap that I usually only buy drugstore brands, and these prices are perfect. One thing that I really appreciate about this video is that you also talk about HOW to apply things. Even at 43, I am not an expert at this and feel like I am constantly trying out new things when it comes to makeup application, especially since my skin has changed over time.

@angelaproske2108 I'm 60, and I'm still learning, too. I'm probably at intermediate level, but I love trying innovative products and new makeup techniques. We've come so far from the limited options available in the 1970s! This is an exciting time in makeup and skin care!

I’m about 10 years older and have been wearing makeup consistently since 1983. There’s room for learning about new techniques and products. Makeup is FUN, regardless of where you buy it. I’ve been discovering really good complexion products at the drugstore. It’s already my go-to place for lip products. Eye products are still in the high end category.

Even in Wisconsin we used to get more snow more often than we do now. We're snowless at the moment. I don't like it. It looks drab, we need the brightness of snow if nothing else.

Hey Emily! I love this "Under $10." theme! You could do this maybe once a month, using different color combos from well-used items. One of my favorites is the Maybelline series of The City Mini eyeshadows. Some days just want a simple, all matte look, bur their shimmers are really nice too. You've reminded me that I have a few of these, so thank you! You are very chatty today, but it's so fun! Thanks for the New Year's wishes, and best of the best to you and yours!

Maybelline Fit Me foundation in Australia is $25.99. The brands that don’t seriously hike up their prices here are Essence and Flower Beauty, and probably Wet n Wild.

I’d love to see themed makeup like “this would be a great Valentine’s Day makeup look”, “this is what I’d wear for St. Patrick’s day”, “ wearable colorful Easter look”, etc! I’m not the best at fun eye looks/full face looks for holiday “themed” makeup but it’s still wearable/not too over the top if that makes sense. Thanks! Love you! ❤❤❤

Under $10? Now we’re talking! I’ve recently discovered the Wet N Wild Mega Length waterproof mascara at $3 and it’s absolutely fabulous. Very dry I mean dry but it’s great if you like to layer mascara. If you like a more natural look, it’s excellent as well. That was my find for 2023!

Don't feel bad about your lack of snow. I am in Fargo, ND and we only have a dusting of snow on the ground with 36 above today. Unbelievable--last year we had snow over the knee and -25 below. While I don't really miss the -25, the lack of snow is kind of concerning.

I watched you years ago, then for some reason I stopped but you are back on my radar for 2024. I've always loved your approach towards drugstore beauty and the looks you create that end up looking like you used really expensive products. And yessss the New York Colour makeup I miss like crazy. They had such great lipglosses , the nail polishes were to die for, the bronzer .

I'd love to see a series where you try out indie eyeshadow palettes from different brands! maybe 2 each - 1 that's out of your comfort zone and one that has a color palette you're very comfortable with some brand suggestions: Nomad Cosmetics, Oden's Eye, Glamlite, Lethal Cosmetics, Beauty Bay (their brand - they also sell other brands!)

I always have Instant Age Rewind on hand. It's not my most full-coverage concealer, but I prefer the finish over most others. And a relevant note: wait for sales and clip your online coupons! I consider cvs to be expensive for makeup, but the last time I repurchased the instant age rewind, I stacked deals and paid less than $5 for it.

I grew up in Cleveland and now we're in north VA and it is not enough snow either. And I'm still further north than you. Last year we got none. Maybe flurries once or twice. We plan a winter trip back home and hope we get some there! ❄️❄️

Video Request #2 - OFF camera pop on your bottom lip the Revlon Super Lustrous Lipstick shade Black Cherry then on the top lip use the shade Toast of NY then mush your lips 2gether & do as much of a monochromatic look (based on that custom color) as possible filling in the rest of the steps as U wish. MAKE SURE U tell us the shade of lipliner & gloss U use as well so I can pick them up if I so choose. FYI, I HAVE done that custom lip color on me & I FLIPPED over how GORGEOUS it looked against my VERY fair skintone.

I love the Wet N Wild Retractable Brow Pencil in Ash Brown. It's perfect and around $3. I'm struggling to find a brow gel that is ashy enough for my brows so I usually just get clear. I'd love a one-and-done brow gel for my lazy days when I still want to look put together but in a flash. I wish Hard Candy would make contour shades like those bronzers. I absolutely love the Elf contour wand in the lightest shade, but I hate the messy sponge-tip applicator and would love a doe foot. What a beautiful nude lip!!

The Revlon blushes really are amazing. Oh Baby Pink is the perfect ballet pink shade! Rosy Rendezvous is also really nice if you like the more muted dusty rose/mauve shades.

I hope Maybelline considers upgrading the packaging for the brightener sponge applicator . I think using an air free cap that just squeezes out a drop can work with their current air free tube design. I hate the messy sponge I remove it always it breeds bacteria and accumulates dead skin cells and skin care from the undereye that goes rancid on the sponge .
