Instead of a lighter, my mom used to hold her eyeliner up to the bathroom lightbulb...there was always little navy blue dots on the bulb where she got a lil too close sometimes 🤭

brandy ward brings me back in time lol. I’ve done both methods and used to use those wooden hard liners by Maybelline that came as short red wooden pencils and were for both brows and eyes. They were SOOO hard you pretty much had to heat them to use as eyeliner. My poor lightbulb had black blobs all over it from heating up the pencil, and it only heated for a second. If you left it too long it burned the heck out of you.

Shelby Davis-Wiemers class of 76! We used lighters and lightbulbs! Of course, we also ironed our hair and used a real iron!

I have come to a point with my make up collection where I feel like it’s finally complete❤️👍 I won’t be purchasing any more make up until it completely run out of that particular item💪🏼 But that doesn’t stop me from watching make up videos😍😂

I remember when i was in High School, 81-85. We used to take the pencil n use a lighter to warm it up so it would go on easer. Nice memory

@@tamarasparks8065 haha, YEP! Just did that last month with those iconic red pencils. Cheap and 2 in a pack. Aren't they actually supposed to be brow pencils but you can make them LT and they go great on your waterline and then they cool and set and stay really well, no social media to share tips but everyone in the country knew to do it

Love it! Fellow 80s girl . High school 87-91. CoverGirl foundation, lighter heated eyeliner, the mascara with the pink and green package and aqua net hair spray! Great times lol

Eventually thought I was bougie when I went to Vidal when it was still salon only , can't remember the name but it was amazing! 80's! My daughter just now left for a Christmas party wearing all vintage 80's, even 80s gold earrings, bag and 1985 Jimmy Choo pumps!

If you have...older, dryer skin, the Elf concealer is too drying for the under eye area but if you want something to cover small discolorations elsewhere, it's great!😉

Freedommjw I’m 19 with oily skin and I thought that concealer looked awful on me! I returned it. I love maybelline fit me or makeup revolution conceal and define

The Soap and Glory foundation is the exact same formula as the CYO Lifeproof foundation sold at Walgreens. It is the best foundation I have ever used! But, it was re-branded Soap and Glory Kick A** foundation and the price tripled. The CYO will be discontinued as of February 2020. I order online and pick it up at my local Walgreens. I can't lie, I have stocked up on this foundation (I might have 10 bottles?).

I should order more of the CYO before it's gone. I've only got two bottles waiting in the wings. When it's gone I'll be buying the Soap and Glory version.

I think the Soap & Glory is also being discontinued, all of the Walgreens my area have discovere discontinued it along with a lot of other S&G products

@@gsd715 The foundation is sold at Ulta, so hopefully it is only leaving Walgreens. I think CYO foundation lovers where pretty upset when they changed the name of the foundation and made it so expensive. The formula is still fantastic!

In the UK, cyo is sold at Boots and it's being discontinued from Feb 2020 also.

I left a similar comment this time last year about the work that goes into your videos, Zabrena; you put so much effort into Drugstore and Dupe-it December, whilst maintaining such a high standard of content. This year, however, you were 9 months (or close to it) pregnant and yet you pre filmed and brought us all fantastic, informative and fun videos. you are my favorite beauty lady on KZfaq. You are extremely knowlegeable and talented in applying make up, and you really do your research, and make such an effort to be true and helpful to your subscribers. Although, drugstore makeup and skincare have gotten more expensive, it's still more affordable than those that are high end. So i appreciate your drugstore recommendations so much.. Also, what makes you so special is that as beautiful as you are....you are not showy, you are humble, and seem very sweet and real.....Hope you're enjoying your 3 beautiful babies.....

I deeply appreciate how you test and review products! I feel like you are able to make a confident recommendation because you really put them to the test. I've watched so many channels of people who had similar skin types as myself and I've never found anyone who's recommendations were as in depth and that worked for me too! I have been watching you for about a year now and you are a fantastic teacher/ influencer. I have learned a lot about different brands and different looks . I buy high end and low end cosmetics. Your dupes are always spot on and I was surprised about this Wet and Wild palette. That Anastasia Soft Glam is my favorite one and I had no idea that there was a dupe for it. The colors look exactly the same. I will use your tutorial for my self with the Anastasia palette. I like that you are very positive and kind with your comments. You are not nasty or condescending. I've been looking for a cruelty-free alternative to the L'Oreal Lash Paradise and I'm SO glad you mentioned that the Covergirl Exhibitionist mascara has the same effect! Thank you for you input and recommendation. I've been wanting to try the latter... Now I'm even more excited to try it! 😊

I don’t like “concealer lips” on myself either! You certainly improved that lipstick, but I don’t want to have to work that hard. My favorite lip colors look good on their own and wear off evenly. You are such a hardworking mama! I hope that you make time to rest in 2020. God bless!

I tried the Soap & Glory foundation after seeing your review and I LOVE it!!! It’s definitely my favorite foundation ever. I’ve tried several since then and none compare! I even tried the cover girl clean 3 in 1 foundation you recommended and that one is alright, but it doesn’t work as well for me as the S&G! So glad I watched your video and tried it out!!
