elf can be hit or miss but it’s so worth it. the majority of my makeup is elf and their collab with hart defenson (idk if that’s how you spell her name) is the best highlight ever. they are also cruelty free and are so affordable. elf for the win!

I don't think so because I have used the same palette, set and not set, and I use a really dewy foundation and that palette is terrible. The contour is really red and the blush is baby pink. But the highlighter is good, but I would just but colourpop or wet n wild for something better.

I usually use Anastasia Beverly Hills or Kat Von D makeup, which isn’t too expensive but it can be pricey, but I actually get all my skincare at Target. Pixi by Petra has really good toners and moisturizers and lip balms and they’re pretty cheap.

I feel like the overpriced items were just overhyped because their packaging is pretty and it influences their opinion in the end. Because they feel like it is translucent and very subtle, but still like it in the end because it feels so luxurious. I do have to say that using that fancy oily serum and that Georgio Armani foundation were a killer combo, but I wasn't blown away by the rest. I do really like the elf primer myself and nyx lip butters! Yay for cheap makeup and some fancy things in between to put on my birthday and xmas wishlist (as long as they are crueltyfree hehe)

Yea half of those seemed gimmicky. For nice make up you really have to know the right brands and those tend to last a long time.

I'm not sure if you've seen the video on Facebook but the ELF primer is only really about 1/20 of the actual bottle... The woman took apart the entire bottle and it was an extremely small container in what was made to look like a huge bottle. That is why I use some more pricier makeup because I know I'm getting my worth out of what I paid for. Yes its more expensive at first but it lasts so much longer than when I would buy the cheaper alternatives.

Idk if it’s because you’re in California and I live in Tennessee, but my Maybelline Fit Me Foundation is only like $6 as opposed to $11-$12. ALSO. The BEST mascara from the drugstore is BY FAR L’Oréal Voluminous. OH MY WORD it’s the best thing ever I’ve put on my lashes. And I bought it from Walmart this week and it was like $5. BEST PURCHASE EVER. I have to give credit to Jaclyn Hill, she recommends it. And I’ve also heard that the hourglass foundation sticks are really awesome. I’ve heard this from Jaclyn Hill, Manny Mua, and Laura Lee. Love this episode and love y’all so much. ♥️♥️♥️♥️

Lana Cantrell I've tried l'oreal voluminous so many times and it makes my lashes god awful lol heavy, clumpy, spidery, straight and wont keep curl. I want to like it because I've always heard good things but it's not for me I guess.

Have neither of them ever worn makeup. Glotion is not foundation and since they didn’t set it with powder the maybeline contour stuck to it so it couldn’t blend

Sarah Peek literally all I was thinking like you’re gonna judge a bronzer without setting a base that’s not even foundation so it’s wet and sticky and just going to grab the product and make it patchy then say that it’s bad. Like no hate no hate I love these girls but I also am a drugstore advocate for makeup when you’re broke so I just wish they used better drugstore products so that people would know you really don’t have to spend soooo much money.

Mascara is the one thing I could never justify buying high-end, sometimes it's worth it to splurge a little but I swear there's like no difference quality-wise when it comes to mascara. Get you a good drugstore one and you're set

Sofia Anastasia Aaltonen I recommend giving max factor mascaras a try (I use false lash effect), i've never had any problems sensitivity-wise with them and they're amazing!

I have tried almost every brand of mascara, my mom gets a lot of them for free, but my favourite is the L'oréal Paris Volume Million Extra Black... Its my favourite, especially the tip, its so good at separating and I have Lancome and Chanel laying at home, witch are horrible, they clump and transfer after 5 minutes...

For primer I use Too Faced Hangover which is $32, for my foundation I use NARS Pure Radiant Tinted Moisturizer, it is $45 but it has SPF 30 and stays on for much longer than any drugstore foundation (I converted from L'Oreal to Sephora brands) and it doesn't make my face look super caked on. For powder I use Kat Von D Lock-It Setting Powder which is $30 and makes my face look flawless. For mascara I use Too Faced Better Than Sex Waterproof which is $23. For eyeliner I use Sephora's Sylographic which is $14 and for my eyebrows I use Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Wiz which is $21.

Unfortunately, not everyone can afford all of those products to put on their face. I use L’Oréal infallible foundation, Maybelline face contouring set, maybelline mascara and eye shadow. It usually adds up to more than $40. That is almost too expensive for my budget.I would use better makeup if I could afford it.

I rarely wear makeup. Don't like the way it feels and I'm not girly. Lol. But I did discover Bare Minerals several years ago and was hooked. It seems a bit expensive but lasts forever. So it's actually a great price over all. It helps your skin and has built in SPF if that is a worry.

I haven't worn anything but Eyeline, Mascara and the occasional eyeshadow since i was 14 i think... I hate how foundation and powder feels on my face. Its like it can't breath and i'm terrified to touch my face with it on because im scared im gonna scratch and then have a line down my face!! So I stick to mascara and eyeline and I like to be very girly!!!!

A lot of women are very protective of their 'signature scent', they don't want it to become popular and smell like other ladies, but be unique. I first thought she was talking about Gypsy Water, that's what Trisha Paytas vlogged about for her last birthday haul, but I don't think it's French. Lash paradise is my all time favorite drugstore mascara. Pixi Hydrating Milky Mist from Target is amazing before and after applying makeup and anytime you need a little makeup refresher throughout the day.

I also try to buy cruelty free and a lot of drugstore brands are not cruelty free. The ones that are would be ELF, NYX etc. So when I go for drugstore I buy NYX. As a side note...and MAC is not cruelty free, BUT they just came out with the "Oh Sweetie" line of falvored liquid lipsticks and they are great, I'd love to see you guys test those shades!! Lots of crazy and bright shades and some subtle. Plus Jos likes to eat everything, please get them!

First of all I LOVEEEE that you guys try out makeup... I feel like I could fit between you two! :p But maybe a suggestion? Maybe try powdering your face after foundation. That way the colour of the blush and bronzer blend out better :) LOVE YOU GUYS!!!

When I worked at Sephora, they told us that the sephora brand makeup (cheaper in price) is basically the same as everything else, they are just able to charge less bc the packaging is less extravagant! So lily is completely right!

Here are some drugstore makeup products I use that I think I are good Maybelline New York Baby Skin Instant Pore Eraser, Wet N Wild Photofocus Foundation, Makeup Revolution Conceal & Define Concealer, Coty Airspun Loose Face Powder in the shade Translucent Extra Coverage, NYX Jumbo Pencil in Milk for Eyeshadow Primer, Wet N Wild Photofocus Eyeshadow Primer, NYX Auto Eyebrow Pencil (not many people like NYX Auto Eyebrow Pencil because they don't have many good colors but I like it I have black hair and the dark brown works good for me), L'Oreal Paris Brow Stylist Plumper Brow Gel Mascara, Almy last up to 16 hours Eyeliner Pencil (for the waterline), I use a combination of the Almay One Coat Thickening Mascara and the Almay One Coat Mega Volume Mascara both in waterproof (I recommend those Mascaras for people with sensitive eyes) Maybelline New York Master Chrome Metallic Highlighter in the shade Molten Gold, Maybelline New York Master Chrome Metallic Highlighter in the shade Molten Rose Gold Most of my brushes are either e.l.f. or Wet N Wild for foundation I like the Real Techniques Sponge

I found that one of the best drugstore foundations is the Kokie one from Walmart. The best bronzer I've ever tied is the Butter Bronzer from Physician's Formula, and the Lash Paradise mascara from L'Oreal is really good too.

I personally like using high end brands for things like Foundation concealer and other things that cover the majority of the face. but I use drugstore for lip stick highlight bronzer etc. My favorites are shape tape concealer and the cover girl mascara they used

I love using Wet 'N Wild Photo Focus foundation. It's inexpensive and performs like a high end foundation! I highly recommend

Drugstore - NYX (lip products, single eye shadows), elf (highlighters, lip products, eye shadows, and this really amazing little tube of color that you can use all over your face - it is GORGEOUS and creamy without being too oily or chalky - I will always buy this from now on!) , Wet'n Wild (photo finish foundation, lipsticks), Jordana (eyebrow, eyeliner pencils), Covergirl (foundation, eye shadow, and lipsticks), Maybelline (lipsticks only), L'oreal (mascara only), Milani (lipsticks, blushes - amazing blushes - and liquid eyeliners) and have just started trying Hardcandy lip products. I keep buying liquid lipsticks but they really don't work for me after they dry down and flake off everywhere (staining clothes). I have bought some new tarte foundation in the brown tube, can't think of the name atm and various Urban Decay single eye shadows but those are splurges every so often...
