as someone w hooded eyes, the "bat wing liner" is probably the best eyeliner look that came from tiktok tbh. def should look into that if you haven't heard of it before :)

It's yellow because the og girl's undertone it's yellow, it's like the lipstick trend, you should do it with your own skin undertone or it would look like it did on Nikki.

It's not supposed to be like that tho. The koreans don't use yellow eyeshadow to do them, they would just use concealer and put on liptint. Not liquid lipstick, or an easier way is just to use liptink in the center of your lip and call it a day

There's actually a technique in renaissance paintings where all of the skin was painted bright red and then the skin was painted on top. It gave the people depicted in the painting a lifelike glow and depth. It's very similar to the lipstick under foundation method!

I think with painting it makes more sense, because your canvas doesn't have blood that creates red undertones. Where with the foundation you already have those undertones due to having skin 😂 ..

The "spock" brows are really just non-blocked drag brows. Like, this is how I've painted my drag brows for YEARS. Tiktok is really slow catching up on "trends", just like the lifting trick with concealer. Some of the OG Makeup artists have been using this trick for years..

I believe Spock brows aren’t drawn correctly these days. Vulcans have eyebrows that legitimately point upwards, people drawing them on with a curve at the tails is wrong.

Dip brow is supposed to be used with a thin brush that they sell that creates hair like strokes and it basically makes your eyebrows look microbladed. Everyone’s been using it wrong for years lol

My mother in law always put red lipstick on her cheeks and blended it out for her blush,,, sometimes she would forget to blend it out and would have 2 red lines on her cheeks and we would have to tell her after we picked ourselves up off the floor from pissing our pants laughing lol

i understand what you mean but i don't think people are trying to be offensive (tho i can see some of them are failing sometimes). i stay out of tiktok now because i don't like it anymore and one of the many reasons is that even the makeup, one of the things that i love the most in the world, has turned into "trends" there that are honestly nothing new but still going viral for some reason(?) however i think, like it happens with most trends, makeup trends happen and then most people forget about them except a selected group and then a few years later they come back, i think that happens with every trend lol

I really love that Nikkie actually uses her palette. I have seen so many influencers launch palettes and use them once or twice and then never touch them again. I get so disappointed when I buy an influencer collab to support my favorites and then they don't even seem interested in their palette after it is launched.

Yup and it can definitely be achieved without the yellow eyeshadow. I guess the Tik Tok girls are kind of going for a sunset thing, but once it's blended you can't really even see the yellow so the effect is lost.

For the past 2/3 years everyone’s been shitting on brow pomades and it’s so upsetting, you can get a natural brow with a pomade just don’t be heavy handed... in my opinion anyways pomades are so much more versatile than pencil and they last WAY longer than a pencil

i love tarte’s brow pomade because it comes in a like medium size and lasts forever. I believe i’ve had mine for a year now and it glides on my eyebrows so smoothly 🥺

And a pot of brow pomade last a longer amount of time than pencil a pot of pomade mine lasts anywhere from 4 months to a year depending on how often u use it and how much u use whereas brow pencils have much less product (brow pomades have 4g brow pencils have about 1g) so would only last about 1-4 months depending how often u use it and how much u use.

It’s still traumatizing to have a red face. I’m 19 and still get made fun of because of my red head sometimes and they always ask “are you warm” like b*tch no I just get red because I want to🙄🙄. I get red when I am warm because of the weather or when I work out or when I do a presentation and everyone staring at me. I am always red when I’m with people I don’t really know or trust and I’m talking. I get red so fast and I freaking hate it :(

I have 1 brow that always comes out perfect and the other that just.. can't look perfect no matter what I do,, it's either a different shape, size and sometimes even color lol (when u apply too much powder and it suddenly turns 5 shades darker than the other rip)

Nikie is the only makeup guru I know who struggles with red face like I do. My neck is like a whole different color than my face. I blush easily and also in gym and in sports people would always freak out because of how red I get. Thanks for representing! I still get self conscious because of my red face and got teased.

Same here, I hate this! Even a full coverage foundation isn't covering my red cheeks enough... we can always see a dark red shadow underneath when I blush a bit.

The uplifting under eye concealer technique that Robert Welsh has made kinda "KNOWN" to makeup lovers like me is what I absolutely love. It's practical. Looks absolutely beautiful. Can be applied daily without any full face of makeup. It's absolutely gorgeous.

i don’t like the blush trend in general. They use way too much blush/lipstick 😭 I have rosacea so i don’t really need to use blush at all but i just hate the concept as a whole. Finally people who agree.

I really feel that red face trauma! I'd leave those 90s exercise classes and my boyfriend at the time would say, on seeing me, "honey, looking like that you could stop traffic!" it was not a compliment, he quickly followed with, "because you look like a red traffic light!" Hilarious 🚦🙄

I tried the lipstick before foundation one and the three ways which worked for me was: 1. Use a liquid matte lipstick and wait for it to dry before doing anything else 2. Use a normal lipstick and set it with powder so that it doesn’t move about 3. Put a little lipstick on and blend with a brush and remove the excess with a beauty sponge They worked for me xx
