Anyway, I said Maidana's one of my favourites of all time, I didn't say he was the best boxer of all time. He absolutely does not. Maybe you can make a case for the one judge scoring it a tie live, but being able to rewatch it it’s very clear that the fight wasn’t that close. Maidana won maybe 4 rounds. You cannot forget to score defense. If a fighter throws 30 punches and lands 10 vs the other fighter throwing 18 and landing 9, the 9 is most likely winning the round. More accurate, more elusive, and comparable in punches landed. The crowd tends to sway peoples opinions and make you think punches are landing.
